Chad Kelly Visiting (Jim Kelly's Nephew)?
I just stumbled on a Rivals article ($) linking Chad Kelly to Michigan -- although it sounds like the article more relates to Miami (YTM) than us. However, it the title of the link is "QB Visiting This Week" and is on Michigan's Rivals site.
He has big-time offers including Florida State, Clemson and Alabama, among others.
TomVH, DGDestroys, etc. any news on this?

thread two down suggests that Kelly is probably a lock once he gets the Miami (YTM) offer, and now that you say he is Jim Kelly's nephew I probably believe it even more.
You think Tate will tell Kelly on his official visit to Miami that UM is the best place in the world and he should go there (seems like the exact type of thing a "team-player" like Tate would say to "help a QB recruit" through the process...)

Good call on the thread below, didn't catch the visit included.
As for Tate, who knows. I can't see him selling Michigan though.
I just got out of bootcamp so sorry this has probablybeen discussed but did Tate end up at Miami?
He did. Will have to sit out a year and then he'll be a RS-Junior in 2012
You have used up your quota of "I just got out of boot camp" posts.
Read the internets now that you are obviously somewhere with access to computers.
lol x a million.
i thoroughly enjoyed your parade of rhyming photos.
Tate may not be here, but he went out there each and every week his freshman year. The last 8 times with a bum shoulder. He gave his all on the field unfortunately not in the classroom. He may have gave his all in the classroom for all we know. Maybe his home schooling didn't prepare him for the rigors of M.
Unless you're a player on team STFU about what type of team player a kid is because you have NO idea.
I'd imagine that Tate doesn't have much good to say about us, but I also doubt that Miami would trust a guy like him, from a transfer-happy family, to host an important recruit.

Though he has some impressive offers, Scout has him ranked pretty low. 3 star, #39 QB. Thats below Appleby, O'Conner, Coney, and Fuller BTW. Then again, who the hell knows...

Hey guys, long time reader, first post.
Obviously the family connections to Miami are important but does Miami having 2 qbs commited already hurt their chances?

I'm not really sure about Kelly. He goes to a school that is in my high school's league (I graduated a couple years ago). High school football in Buffalo is nothing compared to Ohio, Pennsylvnia, Michigan, etc. I didn't see him play this year so I really have nothing to relate on how he looks but it was a shock to see someone from the league get big time Division I offers. Last kid to do that was Doug Worthington and before that I'm not sure.

I'm not certain, but I think I'm supposed to be insulted.
Hey guys, I live in New York and in fact go to Canisius, the rival of the team that Chad Kelly plays for. While they did snap our 5 game win streak over them with him at the helm it was more a result of their insanely fast RB. Kelly doesn seem to throw very well but from what I saw is very fast and is a halfway decent corner (note this is Western New York football so who knows how good he really is). For a little perspective my school has produced three D-1 talent players in the past 3 years. John Urschel who is a guard at Penn State, James Gaines who is the starting middle linebacker at University of Miami (FL), and mst recently Travis Eman, who turned down offers from TCU, Syracuse, Boston College and the Univesity of Buffalo. Also, i'm not sure if its a fact or just a rumor, but i've heard that the kid is outrageously dumb and a few of my friends who go to his school say they'd be surprised if he even is eligible for college academically. There is a reason the students at our school chant "Chad can't read" during football games. Sorry if my post isnt up to Mgoblog standards I don't post much.
we have standards?
Standards are pretty low, just read a Dark Blue post.
