CC: Hoke Evaluation Day Open Thread

There are a number of CC threads up on the board relating to specific candidates (Calhoun, Narduzzi, not-Harbaugh), but I thought it was a good idea to create this open thread to discuss, speculate, bemoan or otherwise obsess over the day's events.

As a starting point for the discussion, has it been confirmed that the Hackett / Hoke meeting is going to take place at noon, and not 3 as previously reported?

Does anyone think that if JH really told us that he is not interested, we would consider keeping Hoke?

I have an odd request. These threads have been so voluminous there's like188 posts on them with maybe 1 or 2 news bits mixed in, the rest discussion. It would be nice to have 2 threads on this. One short one with ONLY news-y items, and another one for discussion so we don't have to scour through hundreds of posts saying what's been said 1000 times already trying to find items of actual news

We talked seriously about making a sticky for CC-type posts, but then for a long time the volume seemed to decrease quite a bit, but in the last 4-5 days in particular, it has become quite the issues again. I'll bring it up with the other mods again and see if we can finally get a formal system going for this.

If someone wants to try to create such threads for the short-term (very short, as I am anticipating a lot of 504 this afternoon), I would have no objections.

Hoping the Hackett-Hoke meeting is going on as we speak. Allows Hoke some time with his coaches before they meet with the Team at 3 PM. Best if everyone can be together one last time as a team.

No. Hoke has proven to not be the #2 candidate for this job ever. Why keep him and deal with another year of decommitments, negative recruiting and OSU/MSU beatdowns?
