CBS Sports College Football Rankings

Submitted by Waves on

At 2-4, Michigan slips to #72, sandwiched between those two football powerhouses, Wyoming and Memphis, both of whom are 3-2. Above are such prodigious programs as Toledo and Akron.

Fortunately we're above Arkansas State and Middle Tennessee, not by much, but hey, take what you can get.

The Python Oscar Wilde sketch has a line that sums up my experience watching this team play this year: "Before you arrive is pleasure, but after is a pain in the dong."

We're now #80 in the Sagarin Ratings with an overall rating of 66.66, below everyone else in the schedule for us, I believe. We're also #72 in Massey's FBS rankings, which is not terribly encouraging either. TeamRankings didn't even bother with a ranking, just "#" - I suppose that sums it up right now for some people.

Cool cool! Wyoming did very well vs MSU a few weeks ago...in the first 45 seconds.

I mean seriously has there been a collection of 4 star talent so thoroughly disappointing in the past 20 years? Only Charlie Weiss' 3-9 squad can hold a candle.

We are only 1.5 underdogs on Sagarin against Penn State after you factor in home field. That makes it essentially a toss up. That is better than I thought it would be.

I don't see this team scoring 14 against Sparty in a few weeks.  I see that being the game that breaks the spirit of the team and fanbase.  52-3 or so.  I doubt Dantonio would even be able to stop his own players from scoring.

We might go through three QBs in that game.  Epic beating.

For this Saturday night, I am more interested in the crowd, or lack of one, or their allegiance than anything else.  A decidedly PSU crowd dressed in white taking over the Big House or a dramatically empty student section showing on a blimp shot prior to kickoff, or a crowd of obviously less than 100k well into the second quarter may well be the final straw for the administration to end Brandon's reign of greed and hypocrisy over this fanbase.

Another poor showing by this team has to seal Hoke's fate.  If not, the game in EL certainly will.

The dominos will begin to fall within a week or so after the MSU game.  It is just a matter of time.

1% we beat MSU. They would have to choose to not show up. Their coach motivates them like football players and not like a girls basketball team. We have great talent on our team, but they play with zero heart. I don't blame them at all, because knowing your plan gives you zero chance to win is flipping depressing.

Be careful what you say because our players read this blog and most of them are as dumb as rocks. Belief is half of being.

just to make sure i wasn't missing some sarcasm.  I wasn't.  This comment is unbelievably inappropriate and ignorant.  Mods need to do something about comments like this one that clearly crosses all lines about fair comment about student athletes.
