"Cato vs Todd Challenge"

Submitted by uofmdds96 on

Cato June and Todd "TJ" Duckett have a fundraising challenge that I heard about on the Huge Show today.  They are "raising money for charity and need help from the Spartan and Wolverines!"  Sparty money goes to fund New World Flood.  Michigan money goes to the Jaguar club.  http://catovstodd.com

Duckett's New World Flood is hard to describe so here it is:

Who We Are

New World Flood is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization passion8 about volunteerism, whose purpose is to flood the world with service!

Vision

Manifest the extraordinary power of a raindrop through each flood of service!

Mission

New World Flood will encourage and provide opportunities for education and volunteerism in children and adults, both locally and in underprivileged areas abroad.

Objectives

  • Actualize raindrops in a community
  • Help communities develop a sense of responsibility and well-being
  • Use dreams to drive personal motivation to make a direct impact on their surroundings
  • Ensure that education and service provide the passion and purpose by which each raindrop improves social and economic prospects in their communities
  • Give raindrops the opportunity to help those in need around the world

Manifesto Story

To flood is a gift. It is to bring life where a desert exists. Flooding is giving one’s passion definition; a purpose. That purpose is the vessel for human kindness. That kindness is a sea of change which can fill the emptiness of despair. To flood is to give of oneself; to inspire passion and purpose in others. We flood because it is natural as well as needed. We welcome the raindrops to bring new life to people, to inspire change and create movement. Prepare for rain!

Cato June's Jaguar Club is funding a football team

The Jaguar Football Club is the booster club that supports CH Flowers Football Team

The role of the Jaguar Football Club is to support the CH Flowers football team. Football builds character and life skills.  That's why this is important, if kids can't afford to play, they lose out on these important skills that make them better people and by way of that help build stronger communities.

Football is a very expensive sport to fund and with over 100 players wanting to play yearly, you can imagine how the bills can rack up! The Jaguar Football Club's goal is to build a program that is successful on and off the field and to prepare our young student athletes for the collegiate level. With limited funds, it becomes very difficult to supply the 100 plus kids with the proper equipment and resources. We will be forced to turn kids away not because of talent, but for the lack of basic necessities needed to run a large football program.

We are attempting to raise money to purchase helmets, shoulder pads, practice and game uniforms as well as other equipment we believe are not only necessary but imperative to their success. Hopefully this will give us a boost towards sustainability so our kids will have a program that they can grow in and be proud of!

The loser of the challenge has to wear the opposing teams colors and post it on social media.  Apparently they have/had a podcast that Seth referenced in a post in September 2014.

(looks at join date..)

This is common during FB season particularly on rivalry weeks.  You should have seen the post-loss boards during the Hoke Era - thats the reason "snowflake" threads were created.  A MSU loss was good for a minimum of 50 new threads in the first 24 hours

I suggest you re-visit the page at least every 2 waking hours from now until gametime.
