Cass Tech RB Mike Weber Offered

Submitted by jbibiza on

According to the front page of Rivals and other sources Mike Weber, the 2015 running back from Cass Tech, has received a Michigan offer.  The kid was a beast the last half of his sophmore year and would be a great pick up from the Cass pipeline.

Yeah and I can see them becoming a first tier team easily within 5-10 years if they keep going at the same rate. That's all I'm saying. At least we can agree, which is nice since you're the casstechconnect! Btw, welcome to the board! It's good to have you! I don't know if you're actually connected in some way to Cass Tech, but it seems like it, so it's great to have you. And again, I hope especially you don't think I'm trying to be disrespectful to a great program! I love that we have Cass Tech as a pipeline school!

Well, it's great to have you here with us. Look forward to seeing more Cass Tech players suit up for the University of Michigan for a long time to come. I'm very excited about some of the prospects coming in, as well as some of the guys already on the team. Plus, Delonte, Thomas, and Royce Jenkins-Stone are all 3 awesome guys in general. I met Delonte a few years back and then within the last year met Thomas and Royce as well. Thomas is absolutely awesome actually, really chill guy.

its too early to say something like this at all is my whole point!!!

Yes, so we're arguing the exact same point in different ways. I'm saying they could be terrible, but we have to wait and see. You're saying they could be great in college because they were really good in high school, but we have to wait and see. The point being, we have the same idea but a different thought process. I am not arguing with you at all. I was being a bit of a jerk about the first part of my reply to you. So I apologize, my point was neither of us really know exactly what he meant. So, I don't know why I get all the heat for voicing my opinion.

But yes, I said let's wait and see how they turn out, which is fair. I'm literally saying the same thing you are, except adding that so far most haven't lived up to their billing. Yes, one service ranked Big Will as a 3 Star OL, but no one here is going to look at the worst ranking. Everyone flocks to whatever site lists him as the best. Besides, ESPN is usually the one that is a terrible ranking site, and they didn't even rank him at his best position.

I agree it's fair to wait and see. What I don't understand is why you guys don't see that I'm saying exactly that. At least you. I think we seem to agree, just disagree about other not as important points. I still say height doesn't make a difference and there's so many excuses you can make for every player. Yes, height can player a factor, but again that was 5 minutes of research. I'm not going to write a thesis about this, I don't want to look up more short players. Yes, there are tons more.

beasts

Dont be suprised if Mikey ends up top 3 RB for class. kid is fastest on the team (including seniors) and is as strong as he is fast. jukes and moves could use work but with experience comes improvement

Dont be suprised if Josh moves to Left Tackle at whatever college he attends. Beast and this is his first year playing it. of course major weight gain would be needed but thats nothing compared to his technique and instincts speed and length already displayed

Joshua didnt even really start this year and look at the plays he made. Next year his film is going to be 20 mins long. Same exact thing for Mikey. They were easing him back into football after MCL injury and he had competition from Drake (Mich state commit) and Gary Hosey. Imagine if Weber played the whole season. I think the Michigan coaches recognized that and saw the potential

Yes Mikey will be a Top 3  back in the nation in 2015, he gained the majority of his yards in late October to the Championship game. That's how tough of a runner he is.  Also Cass Tech just recently started getting top notch talent the last three years so yall haven't seen anything yet.
