Carroll and Wilson - Praise for Braylon
Some pretty good fluff coming out of Seattle. I've always been a Braylon Edwards fan, I think a lot of his bad wrap was his own doing, but he's a good guy overall. It is good to see he is putting in the effort to excel in Seattle. I liked Wilson, even at Wisconsin, so that is a duo I will enjoy watching this year.

Crazy how good Braylon was for us. On college film alone it'd be hard to differentiate him from Megatron.

The 4 inches and 40 pounds he has on Braylon doesn't help?

Calvin was better at Ga Tech than Braylon was at Michigan if you adjust the numbers to the talent of the quarterbacks throwing to them. CJ's 2006 numbers (76 rec, 1202 yards, 15 TD) are truly astounding when you consider that his QB was Reggie Ball. Edwards' 2004 stats are also eye-popping but even a freshman Henne was much better than Ball at - if nothing else - heaving it past the secondary downfield.
Megatron, Braylon and Fitzgerald are probably the three most dominant college wideouts of modern times.

Braylon also had competent qbs throwing him the ball in college. Calvin Johnson did not (Taylor Bennett was terrible).

The original comparison was College FIlm only, which I think is a valid comparison. It's just everything after College where Braylon kinda meh'd on and Megatron....well Megatron'd everything (in a good way)

2004 Rose Bowl, first drive, Navarre drops one over his shoulder right into both hands... DROP! I'm convinced that had we scored on that first drive, the game would have been a whole lot different. USC wins 28-14... Dammit.

It's not the height that might matter as much as as their actual wing spans / arm lengths. Calvin Johnson is an absolute beast, and I'm curious how their wing spans compare. I know Braylon was a beast in his own right, (track, high jump etc.)

Megatron ran a 4.32 coming out of college at 239 pounds. The sheer physics of that are incomprehensible.

Braylon is 6' 3" and Calvin is 6' 5"...

I was actually impressed with the length of that URL. I'd like to think that it is an MGoRecord.

...I gotta say that fans out here are the most optimistic sports fans I've ever seen. It's kind of amazing and heartwarming and hysterical all at once.
The Seahawks will always have a chance out here in their fans' eyes. They will always beat a team they shouldn't once a year, probably the 49ers this year. And Beast Mode will only show up for exactly half of his games, but they will be monstrous appearances.
Glad to see they they cut TO. Him and Braylon on the same team may have combined for more off-field incidents than touchdowns, but would've been amazingly entertaining nonetheless.

It's always amazed me how the fans here can be optimistic at all, considering how many times they've been kicked in the junk by sports.

Braylon has some skills and some time left in the league ...if he wants it.
It is great to see a 5-10 or 5-11 QB like Wilson have a good shot at making it on Sunday. Gives us some hope for Denard...perceptions need to change that shorter athletic QBs can be effective in the NFL. If the accuracy is there with the ball, then these guys should get a chance.
