(Caris Appreciation Thread) Even Caris Can't Dunk in Duke Colors

Submitted by RealJabrill on

Thinking back on the season, its very easy to look beyond Caris contribution to the team.  Most of the credit often goes to Stauskas and Coach Beilein for the incredible season.  And even though Stauskas, McGary, and Robinson are getting all the NBA hype, Caris had arguably the best season from a defensive and offensive perspective.  He was soo clutch on so many occassions getting the hard hoop either by driving it in or spotting up for a huge 3.  And he often had to guard the best players on the opposing team.

I can't wait to see what huge steps he's going to make next year.

if everyone continues to progress as people so wonderfully do under Beilein's staff, then it would seem the three-headed guard monster of Walton, Irvin, and LeVert is going to be awesome next year. If McGary returns and Donnal is pretty good, I don't see any reason this team couldn't find themselves in the Elite 8 or better again next year

Doesn't do that well in UNC colors either.

I bet he killed it though in his Michigan sweatshirt and his Ohio State shorts.

Nobody can stay in front of Caris. He's got a first step, quickness, and length. I think he'll be the best pro from this team when it's over.

Although it feels a bit voyeuristic, it shares some fun insight (albeit a glimpse) into the environment in which he grew. Given the sad event between now and then, I hope it's one of many videos Caris looks back upon fondly. The old man looks like he had a little game.

Levert might have the highest ceiling of anyone on the roster right now. He has been aggressive and fearless on the floor right from the start, totally out of proportion to his three-star status, and what he is physically capable of is still expanding. If Stauskas leaves, I hope he has someone to work out with over the summer who has the same sort of drive. He could make the sort of physical transformation Webber did between his fresh and soph years. I can see him ultimately having the most notable career.

Adorable. I love the interwebs. Caris had a great season. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us next season. I hope he gains even more confidence, I think sometimes we have more faith in his ability than he does.
