Can we trade for the Ducks 3rd string QB?

Submitted by blueman on
Talk about a tale of two teams. For the Ducks it is the best of QB times. For UM, it's the worst of QB times. UM hopes Threet can become effective or a frosh can become an instant success. The Ducks have to choose from 3 QBs all of whom are a far better option than anything available to UM.

I am a UM alum and have my name on plaques in Yost and Schembechler. I have earned the right to be as critical as I want when I want. You on the other hand are an idiot who can't face the fact that UM football is presently in the tank. Being critical of UM does not ipso facto make one an ND fan.

I won't give my opinion on the "rights" one earns with a UM degree or a name engraved on a small piece of metal, beyond the fact that I couldn't possibly care less. However, repeatedly mentioning those things sure does make you a pretentious ass. You may not be domer, but you sound as arrogant as Weis.

I don't see what about pointing out that our QB situation blows nuts makes him a "Domer Shill". But defending him when he consistently points out his "name on a plaque at Yost" sort of makes my stomach curl.

It's not this post that convinced people he's a Domer in drag. It was his earlier series of posts explaining why we would have little to no chance of competing with ND in the future, and how we should be nervous every time they manage to avoid losing to teams like Hawaii.

Ding ding ding. I'm too lazy to 'dig through the archives' and point out all the examples, but when you get fortnightly posts to the effect of "Why can't Michigan do X?" and "Why would anyone want to go to Michigan?" it tends to make some people want to call the troll police. There is nothing wrong with self-loathing in sports, no matter how rabid a fan one may or may not be, but the tone of these posts over a body of time suggests to me (repeat: ME) that a certain degree of genuineness is lacking. And then the ND thing.
