Can we all agree Dcaff is the backup.

Can we agree on this? MK and others said this for weeks and Um11 and others scoffed at them. Peters will most likely grad transfer with two years to play no?

Sure seems that way.

I just don't think Coach Harbaugh ever liked Peters demeanor.  Quiet. Unimposing.

At least that's how I see it from CA.

Agreed, but Coach Harbaugh commented a few different times about him not being loud enough.  I remember Coach on camera once even giving an example of how to say hut hut or something.  He was saying you have to yell it like HUT HUT.

I could be way off.  just my 2 cents.

I feel like he has more chemistry with the team--on the sidelines, between plays whe on the bench. Just seems like the guys are more comfortable with him.

Could be my perception only, but he looks and plays like #2--at least he did tonight.

I have a hard time believing Peters is behind McCaffrey simply because McCaffrey doesn't look remotely ready to run a decent chunk of the playbook, something I've seen Peters do before.

Peters is the backup.  Harbaugh said he was 2 weeks ago, and then said he had suffered a leg injury before the ND game.  If you want to start some rumor because it feeds  into some weird narrative that a savior at QB is right around the bend, so be it.  But it doesn't mean reality matches up.

The kid is good and takes command of the offense. He has the moxie to be a leader too. Like I have said on here 1000 times. Brandon Peters was a recruiting mistake and that is on Harbaugh. Peters is a MAC level player period.

Is it possible that the 2nd/3rd string QB depth is a fluid situation that is subject to change on a weekly basis due to the performance of the 2 guys in practice? Almost like exactly what Harbaugh said when he first got here, what was that word again?

Meritocracy.

so maybe Peters is hurt, maybe DMac had a better week. Who the fuck knows. What is the point of arguing over a question we are unlikely to have answered any time soon. The competition to replace Patterson when he leaves is well under way, may the best man win.

It’s pretty obvious isn’t it. I tried telling people a few weeks ago that he might be the backup but no one wanted to believe he could pass up Peters

he looks good I think the future is very bright with him at the helm

Not sure if anyone covered this before but.. While watching All or Nothing on Amazon i couldn’t help but notice how Peters seems uninspired & aloof. His dad mentions he’d be ok if Peters never took another snap. Meaning he was satisfied with all of his football accomplishments to date. He appears to be injury prone & battle weary when taking hits. I personally feel he’s not mentally up to the task. Something in those eyes. You have to want it at this level. I don’t think he wants it enough. Dylan looks solid. All speculation of course.
