Can't wait for defense UFR

First time poster here, long time reader.  I'm no technical football person but I'm really looking fwd to see how TT does in the defensive UFR for this game.  He didn't have any big numbers but just from my impressions watching the game (albeit in a significantly altered mental state for most of it) it seemed like TT was causing havoc on almost every play; he was all over the field, all day.  So much for "taking plays off" as was him M.O. in the past.  Unreal.  I am definitely proud to be a wolverine today.

Kinda seems like the secondary got a bunch of breaks by way of dropped passes tho, did make a bunch of big plays as well.  On the other hand, the linebackers seemed to play excellent which was Brian's, and many of our concern this weekend.  Other than excellent D-line play, we just have to guess on which of the other units will show up each week.  We're gonna need to exploit this soft Ill d next week and not give them any gifts.

Stevie had great 1 on 1 coverage on the 1st or 2nd drive, it was a shot at the endzone and he was in perfect position the entire time.  Only a great throw prevented him from making the pick, as it was, he broke up the pass beautifully.

Or was there a lot of 3 down lineman prevent defense going on in the last few minutes? How else was Evridge able to pick apart the secondary on the last two drives???

On those 2 drives, the defense did OK. Michigan had several sacks. Mostly, Wisconsin was throwing short stop routes away from the sidelines. They got no run after catch and kept the clock running. The screen to Hill on 3/17 was unfortunate. The 2 long passes down the middle were what really killed Michigan. Those were darts by Everidge into serious coverage. There's not much you can do about that.

Michigan keyed on stopping the Wisconsin power running game and largely were effective. Prior to the game, few would have believed that possible. That opened up some things in the passing game which Everidge did well to exploit. It also lead to sacks, fumbles, and INTs.

The defense kept Michigan in the game. The end was a result of the Wisconsin QB making to great plays and not a defensive collapse.

but having 2 DTs rather than 1 puts twice as much push in front of the QB (as opposed to the sides with the DEs).  Finding a lane to throw and avoiding the batted passes (something Navarre couldn't seem to avoid) becomes more difficult.  I prefer having 4 down linemen in that circumstance.

Yeah, sometimes you just have to give the other team credit.  Wisconsin made a couple of outstanding throws/catches, especially that one they caught at our 30.  Harrison was all over the guy and he still somehow took it away.  Ditto for the TD - that was a really tough play. 

When the other team is throwing on every play, and is prepared to go for it on 4th down, it's not that easy to stop them.
