This will be your thread for snowflakes and hot takes on the offense and offense playcalling as it pertains to the BYU game.

That's the ticket this year. Running the football, game management, monster defense. Our neighbors to the south won that way for years; Lloyd wanted to win that way but couldn't execute it. Michigan can win a lot of games by being ok with the occasional punt. I once had a commercial driving instructor give a good rule of thumb for driving large vehicles, in the context of left turns against traffic. It probably applies well here: "If you THINK you can... DONT."

Nah. It was a great day, but we tried and failed to score in the second half. If you really think we would have scored if we needed to, then why did we throw a Hail Mary pass at the end of the half up 31? You do whatever you can, every minute, all the time. Harbaugh!

I have are the complaining Michigan fans and the tin foil hat crew who believe inanimate objects cause or influence real life events.

I mean, they put on a clinic up to the point that the game was well in hand. I think it's safe to say at this point that Harbaugh has no interest in trying and revealing more of his playbook once the game is in hand. UNLV was a snoozefest from start to finish and Harbaugh shut down the offense today at halftime

As long as Smith is okay, we need to keep giving him the rock. That long one looked like something Fournette would do. Rudock wasn't perfect, but he was the game manager we needed today.

Rudock is on track. I am not worried about the second half. Vanilla playcalling in 2nd half. The team looked good. Hope Smith is ok. We need his beast mode.

Harbaugh is not into running up the score. Probably did the same last game. We all freaked out for no reason. So, I am not going to freak out about the second half.

This game was a measuring stick and we came through with flying colors. WE ARE GOOD!!!

That's the game manager we hoped to see. That was very encouraging. I also thought it was fine that he became more conservative in the second half. BYU had no chance as long as Michigan didn't turn the ball over at that point.

I think the second half felt very 'meh', but I think Michigan was just playing it safe and avoiding turnovers. Overall I think the offense is good enough to win a lot of games with our awesome D

I'll be that guy.... I want to rewatch the plays in the second half where Rudock didn't pull the trigger and decided to keep it or get sacked. I personally saw guys open but that's my only gripe with him this game

I like that we opened the playbook a bit this week. You can definitely tell that Harbaugh has been sandbagging. Just some unbelievable play calls that had the defense dumbfounded.

I'm not worried about the second half because it just seemed like we were practicing out run game. Defense was killer. I also said it in the game thread but I think Moe Ways had a couple really nice blocks that helped spring big plays in the first half.

That is the Rudock that I expected.  His mistakes were taking a 5 yard gain (or incompletion) instead of the 25 yard gain.  I can live with that, that is what we signed up for with him and it's all we need when our defense is playing like that.
