BYU is good , they have played the toughest schedule so far to date ..could be 3-0..they are mature seems like they are all 24 years old...they will pick our secondary apart..I hate to say it but Im picking BYU  31-27..I HOPE I AM WRONG!!!

Unless Rudock figures out how to complete passes over 10 yards and learns to get the ball out on time and with a quicker release, i don't see many points and I'm not sold on this defense vs an explosive/spread offense.

could be 3-0, could also be 0-3. Also, Rosen played bad yesterday (11/23 106 yds TD, 3 INT), and UCLA still pulled it out at the end. Thats not to say that BYU isnt good, our secondary will be tested for sure, but there is certainly a good chance for the good guy to win.

true but they could also be 0-3. The game against UCLA should not have been as close as it was. Rosen threw 2 ints in the endzone on scoring oppurtunities. Even if the kicked a FG both times they would have won the game by 7. Now given our int problem this might be an issue but i think we should be able to run the ball against BYU which should take the pressure off Ruddock

Good news we are at home. Bad news is BYU can bring a more up-tempo offense than Utah. BYU's defense is not as good against the run but solid on the pass - BYU a step below Utah. Special teams could be the difference - so nod goes to UM. Will be an awesome game down to the wire. Will be my first in-person witness of the Harbaugh era. GO BLUE !

Fear, followed by worry.

BYU looks really solid this year, and while it's not a must win, it's really darn close to it.

I am curious to see how we will run the ball against a good team and Tanner Mangum scares the shit out of me. Our secondary is going to be tested with his arm and their HUGE wide receivers.

Our running backs will need to continue to get better, and one of them will need to have a big day. Ty Issac having some success with a long run will help the passing game.

I am scared right now of this game, so I will say 28-24 Michigan, but I can see it going the other way too.

especially to have a good season of at least 8 wins.  If we lose this one, kiss the 8 win season goodbye pretty much.  Sure, mathematically we could do still do it if we lose.  But, realistically, if Michigan can't beat a team on their home field that probably has lesser athletes at most positions, then the prospects of beating better teams later on isn't good.  Rudock needs to take his place at the Big Boy's table starting with this game.

After seeing the debacle that is Jake Rudock the past 2 week I don't think we can win this game. If the Iowa Jake Ruddock shows up we will win 28-17. But if he turns the ball over the first score stands

yeah well if that were shane morris under brady hoke instead, it'd be more like 16 turnovers. He's also taken virtually no sacks. At least the utah game was close in the 4th and we got to see a competent quick drive. I mean just enjoy watching a UM quarterback roll out and not panic, it's been ages. A lot of teams have a handful of turnovers early in the season. UCLA had 3 INT in the first half, alabama had a ton. I don't care what his accuracy is regardless once the score is 28-0. Ruddock also had more talent to work with at iowa, not a 2.4 ypc running game and a tight end for the only decent receiver.

As far as I'm concerned this game is pretty much a must win for us. Hopefully the offensive play calling isn't so vanilla and Rudock redeems himself by not throwing any interceptions. Also, I think it's kind of unfair that BYU gets to use 30 year old players.

eh i lived next to michigan's backup QB who went on a mormon mission and was also older. Just saying it's not above us either and BYU only does it cause the school mandates it. You'd think if anything that'd be a huge recruiting disadvantage the way mandatory military service is for army/navy/air force

against BYU? Dream on. Should MIchigan win this game (20% probability) it will be because the defense holds BYU to less than 20 points which is unlikely.

MIchigan is going to have to play over their heads to win this game.

We've definitely got a great chance, and the game is at home so that's a big boost, but our secondary is going to get tested big time next week. BYU is going to come to town expecting to win, and Rudock needs to play a heck of a lot better next week than he did yesterday.

My heart says 27-24 good guys, but I'm just not sure. I could see Michigan losing a heartbreaker.

Why do we accept that as a fan base? Why do schools like Alabama, Ohio State, and LSU bring it every week no matter who they play, but we are simply okay with a weak crowd "because it's only UNLV!"

It was "only Appalachian State" also. It was "only Toledo" also. It was "only Akron" also. The fan base needs some serious work if that's our thought process.

Hire crowd control moderators who roam the stands ejecting individuals or families who aren't cheering loudly at appropriate times. Appropriate times = all of the time. After only a couple thousand ejections fans will cheer loudly out of fear and enjoy themselves immensely.

because unlike alabama rednecks, we don't live for football and we know those kind of trash opponents should never be scheduled and that they are only for one purpose - $$$ that's not very inspiring. It's like a damn nfl preseason game and i will add, indiana/rutgers/maryland should never be scheduled either, and we know why the latter two are - $$$
