He has clearly lost the TE job to Koger, who is going to keep getting better. Butler is a great athelete but not very disciplined; his upside is Crable. With his physical abilities he should be a good pass rusher right away.

Butler is a good athlete, so lets hope he can help out at the DE postion.  Hopefully he could help out next season at that thin positon.  Is he even going to be able to beat out Banks and Van Burgen as a backup though?  I wrote him off after the ND game.

Well, there you have it - Carson Butler is officially the poster child for downward mobility through stupidity. It's hard to believe that with his athletic ability he can't get on the field when his competition is a true freshman and Mike Massey.
