Probably just announcing that he saved a bunch of money on his car insurance by switching to Geico.
Read this while holding on the phone for our insurance company at work. Our dumb ass delivery guy hit some dumbass walking along the road and reading a book today. Dude walked away but dented the crap out of our Sprinter Mini van.
If I was a recruit, I would totally commit on April Fool's Day, no matter what. Even if I was serious. That way no one would know if I was or not, and if I changed my mind within 24 hour I could totally just say "haha, April Fools I was kidding" and all of the fans would have a good chuckle out of it.
I had a friend announce his wife was pregnant on April Fool's Day and most didn't even realize he was serious for a good three months.

Despite that fact that I disagree with the message of the humor, it is impossible to deny the humor.

I don't get it. You say "misfire" and then link to a picture of people with torches. No idea what this means, other than (I assume?) that there will be people with torches if the kid doesn't commit to Michigan?

Agreed. This is likely nothing. It just says "The wait it over, big news." April Fools aside, that's quite vague, and certainly doesn't mean he's committing.
I love/hate April Fools.

Well, we know that WD's post is not an April Fool's joke. Not that Ruiz's isn't. So WD made a serious post about Ruiz's joke.
