Buckle Up?

Grasping at anything positive this weekend.

Matt Dudek, the director of recruiting, likes to give a wink on twitter similar to Webb's "gut feeling" except not as specific.

He just tweeted out googly eyes, thinking emoji, wink emoji, then maize M emoji. This is probably a commit. speculate

Edit from JNewmn26: His follow up tweet was pretty promising as well. Matt DudekVerified account @Thee_Matty_D

Do you realize you are talking about 17-18 year old kids? Have you no conscience? I seriously suggest you seek out psychiatric help for your anti-social behavior. Take a good, hard look at your comments and ask yourself, what went wrong with your life that you have to act out this way. You are a sad, sorry person and I am praying that you seek help before you hurt yourself.

Nah, but it would be nice if they could ban self-righteous, hand-wringing concern trolls.

Seriously, though, you realize that people dislike you because of how you conduct yourself, not because they don't like disagreement, right?  I mean, come on, you can't be that clueless.

I actually am worried that he might be a sociopath. I think he needs professional help and possibly medication. I believe he has been banned before numerous times before, but he keeps coming back. The best thing for us to do is ignore him or humor him.

I'm personally of the opinion that all internet trolls have some sort of untreated mental disorder, so I think you're on to something.  There doesn't seem to be any other compelling explanation for someone who gets his/her kicks out of making someone else miserable.

Wow if that's so, not impressive. Granted we don't know how any of these guys will turn out but that low of a ranking? Michigan should do better and this is part of the reason why it's hard to beat our main rival. Maizen is right, it needs to get better and our "top notch" coaches should attract better

Florida is 4-6 and fired it's coach despite playing in the JV division of the SEC. The only thing that is trash is the bottom half of UM's commit list. But keep up the personal insults, totally an appropriate response because some has a different opinion than you do.

You earn the personal insults. Your extreme ignorance combined with your whiny bitchiness makes someone not worthy of respect. Randy Shannon is one of the countries better DC a fact someone who knows college football knows. You, an expert only in how to be an asshole, are unaware of that.

I get that, I'm not agreeing w that part. All is said is that I didn't think this years recruiting class is where I think it should be sitting at my couch at home. If you want to disagree w that statement, fine. I welcome disagreements. But simply calling me trash for agreeing w maizens original post is the reason why I blew up at him.

You should not be lumped in there for sure. I think the problem is there is a growing crowed here that have been negitive about every single thing about the program. Maizen leads the way and goes way overboard. I don't think stating the top end of the class is up to where it should be. Most people here would agree that not having really any high four stars or 5 stars is a disappointment. But most of maizen's takes over are extreme, negitive and typically shit on a player committed. At this point, agreeing with maizen will get some to assume you are a doom and gloom type like him. Right or wrong, his comments have created that environment. For what it is worth, I don't see you as that and I don't think you would have gotten any negitive remarks for saying the 18 class does not top end talent where it should be. Most are not worried about this because the last 2 classes have been very strong and 19 is looking like it will be the best under harbaugh.

Fair enough. I def agree with your take there. Obviously I'm all blue, I just figured that maybe we could use a top flight OT recruit or RB besides what we have now commited for 2018 that can contribute right away seeing how average our line is this year. I know that we've had great recruiting classes last two years, which is why I looked at 2018 as a "why so" kind of recruiting class if that makes sense. With that said, I think we have a chance to win tmrw and if that happens, that would definetly help recruiting. Especially with all these programs looking for new coaches

They could really use the tackle that is on campus right now. The kid has good feet and has that nasty streak needed for a truly good lineman in college and the pros. When I first saw his film I thought he was the best lineman in this class. The thing that makes people so annoyed at maizen is that he automatically assumes the worst about the tweet, like getting the stud lineman recruit is impossible and the tweet has to be about a middling 3 star because that is where this staffs recruiting abilities are. It would be a long shot but far from impossible. I do disagree slightly on the need of the tackle. I think there is a few options from last class that will surprise people and would be more physically and mentally ready to go next year than a stud true freshman. Honestly, as a fanbase, we should strive to see a day where no true freshman have to play on the oline. It is the most important position group on every team imo, and the best lines are almost always made up with mostly 4th or 5th year guys.

Florida's problem was notdo to their defense. Their Defense has sent quite a few dudes into the nfl in the first few rounds over the last few years. Say what you want about their offensive, but you can't claim they don't know how to find good defenders.

It’s exhausting reminding people that recruiting matters. The higher the ranking the better chance for them to contribute. Yes there can be “diamonds in the rough” but they have that name for a reason. Also Paye was a 4star for espn and was at the UA all star game so not a good comparable.

He finished as a composite 3 star and was like the 487th ranked kid in the class. Just because one site had him at a 4 star does not mean he is not a good example of a underrated kid. When you look at the 2016 class we are starting to see a bunch of the lower rated guys starting to show they were under rated as well. Yes, recruiting matters. You need top end guys to really compete. However, harbaugh and staff has shown the ability to find lower ranked guys that have a bunch of talent.
