Buck fans be a nervous bunch...
Some are still delusional and there's really no cure for them. Some are in reality that this year is different and if things continue on current trajectories they could haz a sad come November.

Perhaps we should beat them before calling them delusional.

You realize we could still realistically finish 8-4 right?

You don't think the thought of us losing in Happy Valley at night is a possibility?
October 14th, 2015 at 4:49 PM ^
I think there's a greater possibility that Penn State scores negative points against us

First of all we aren't playing PSU at night. Second of all we have a massive advantage on defense in that game and we beat them last year. The likelihood of us losing three more games out of 6 is pretty unlikely. We'd be losing all toss ups.
October 14th, 2015 at 6:09 PM ^
What time is the game at?
October 14th, 2015 at 6:30 PM ^
its TBD, don't know yet.
October 14th, 2015 at 11:05 PM ^
the other side of that preposition.
October 14th, 2015 at 5:33 PM ^
I have learned to not take any opponent lightly and anything can happen. There is no guarantee we beat MSU this weekend.

Many of those instances was Harbaugh on the sideline? Newsflash, things are different if you have not noticed.
October 14th, 2015 at 4:38 PM ^
or 11-1, on paper as well.
Win the game!

You know they still play Rutgers right?
October 14th, 2015 at 8:03 PM ^
so theoretically, it could be a game against OSU. Theororetically, not in the real world.

If we have the game locked, then Speight will be in.
October 14th, 2015 at 4:29 PM ^
This seemed delusional to me and was even called out by other buck fans as so:
Not concerned. We've played and beat better teams.
October 14th, 2015 at 4:33 PM ^
October 14th, 2015 at 5:35 PM ^
Exactly. Which was the point his fellow fans quickly pointed out to him. Different year different team. No bearing on this year.
October 14th, 2015 at 6:39 PM ^
Well to be fair. They did bring back the bulk of that championship team. Everything held equal, their best is better than our best.
Remember, this is year 1 of the reign of Harbaugh. Keep expectations in check.

to Virginia Tech.
October 14th, 2015 at 8:28 PM ^
Perhaps you are right or...
You are playing a dangerous mind game which is border line an appeal to the transitive property of football . We like to believe that teams with their talent level just lay waste every week. But humans are wierd.
I think I'm just practicing restraint in condeming a 17 game winning streak, defending national championship team for not blowing teams out.
October 15th, 2015 at 12:51 AM ^
Bo never kept expectations in check during his first season in '69. I don't think Harbaugh will either!

People around here are getting pretty uppity, which I understand given recent history, but I think we should all collectively "pump the brakes" a bit here. Lets see how Saturday goes, then talk.
I think we'll win, but I'm a lot more nervous about it than many seem to be.

I don't think there is anything unrealistic about their expectations this season.
They have not lost a regular season B1G game in 3 years. That alone is reason for unspeakable delusion.
October 14th, 2015 at 7:44 PM ^
All good things must come to an end, even in Columbus.
October 14th, 2015 at 6:19 PM ^
When they say things like "take away the special teams, and defensive scores and they do not look impressive at all" delusional is the only word that could possibly describe them.
By all means beat them. Beat them into the ground, and hear the lamentations of their women. Most of their fan's still sound like they have moved to la la land this week.
October 14th, 2015 at 6:43 PM ^
For elucidation
October 14th, 2015 at 7:01 PM ^
That I only have, but one upvote to give...
October 14th, 2015 at 4:24 PM ^
I think that they should be nervous. They haven't looked sharp once this year. Just a lot of sloppy wins achieved with superior talent.
October 14th, 2015 at 5:00 PM ^
And you don't think that some of that is just Urban tinkering, seeing what he can and can not get away with? I really think they're just trying to limit QB carries, he knows their real tough games are in November. I doubt they've forgotten their QB injuries from last year.
October 14th, 2015 at 5:04 PM ^
You don't tinker when you're in a 4th quarter dogfight with Indiana.
October 14th, 2015 at 5:11 PM ^
Okay that's a good point.
October 14th, 2015 at 5:26 PM ^
Precis
October 14th, 2015 at 6:58 PM ^
should look at late in the Indiana game, and the Maryland game. Urban is sandbagging, and if everyone assumes those last quarters are garbage time and skips them, they'll be missing the real threats. He threw the sandbags over the rail when he had too.
October 14th, 2015 at 5:24 PM ^
Some of it may be due to experimentation or Urban Meyer showing various looks (a solid point), but the fact is that they had trouble putting away both Northern Illinois and Indiana. Both are surprisingly good teams, but championship teams have that killer instinct... that consistent ability to keep an opponent down and then step on their collective throat. Michigan seems (from this outsider's perspective) to have that capability and willingness to be nasty this year. It's not something that I've seen from them in a very long time ('97?). OSU does not (or hasn't shown it yet).
October 14th, 2015 at 5:43 PM ^
Yeah, you guys are probably right, at least mostly right.
October 14th, 2015 at 4:24 PM ^
are blocked at my office. MGoBlog is not. Our IS people are smart.
October 14th, 2015 at 4:25 PM ^
As things stand now, they should be. OSU hasn't looked as good as we thought they would and Michigan has looked far better, through 6 games.
Of course that's as things are today.
