I've read lots of comments this year, pulling for Alex Malzone to start. Who were some recent true freshmen QBs that did well as a starters in college football? Maybe I missed that discussion. Alex would be doing something most college quarterbacks aren’t ready to do, and that's start and play well as a true freshman. Is Alex really that special and good to accomplish such a feat?

No, it is desperation and hope.  If Morris was an established starter or at least looked like a competent backup in 2014 almost everyone would say redshirt Malzone and we'll see you in 2017 as a RS SO ready to fight for the starting job with Gentry.   Most of the star QBs who tore it up immediately were RS FR - not true FR.

We are going to have some great discussions on the QB & OL positions all the way to the fall.

I like the kid Malzone, but we need to give him time before we go over board.  I'm open to every QB on the roster as long as the turn over pain stops this season.

An improved OL + an improved D + better QB play = Moar wins!!!!!
