Unfortunate turn for him and the Badgers. I imagine a bad shoulder injury is pretty much the worst injury you could have as a linebacker above the waist. Hope he comes back and can hit with no issues.

What about a bad heart? or severe concussion(s)?

But, I do agree. Shoulder injuries are a devastating injury. I would know, I separated my shoulder a couple of times and that takes a long time to recover from, not to mention that when you can play again it is much more difficult (the pain, mental aspect of not going "all out" in fear of re-injury). I never fully recovered from my injury and it was mainly a mental thing I could never get over.

I certainly wouldn't ever root for injuries, or be happy about them, but this has to help us against the Badgers.  They were already going to have their work cut out for them to stop our offense.

I hope he can come back and play at a high level after his recovery. Related to this, I wanted to get some input from you guys on something that always creeps into my head when I hear about injuries or dismissals, etc. What I always think at first is "I hope the kid or coach or whomever is okay and can get back on track or recovery fully", but the 2nd thing I always think is "how does this affect Michigan? Does it give us a better chance at winning?"

I am not anywhere close to the point of happiness when I hear this kind of stuff, but it does make me more optimistic on our chances against said opponent. Do any of you have these "bad" thoughts creep into your head? I kind of feel like a dick for even thinking about it because the physical health and future of whomever is injured, punished, etc is more important than a game.
