Bryce McNeal

Via Rivals ($), Bryce McNeal just decommitted. He's now looking at Minnesota (his home state), Colorado, and Michigan.

Just my opinion, but I don't think this one goes nearly as well as Will Campbell.

If there is one positions that Michigan can take this loss at, it is WR.  RR's offense makes use of a lot of slot guys.  This system can be efficent with only one outside threat (see: Reynaud, Darius) and Michigan is loaded at reciever, with two more big ones signing on for 2010.  I'll take Campbell back first, TYVM.

I agree, while it sucks possibly losing him, it's at a position where it is not a total killer.  We have Mathews next year and if Threet would stop overthrowing Stonum his stats for the year would have probably doubled.  If anything we have the two big 2010 commits (Jackson, Miller) and I think we will have enough of a recieving core that this wont neccessarily kill us say as much as losing a QB or corner.  Let's hope for the best and if he comes back then that's great, if we decides to go somehwere else, then best of luck to him, he should be productive wherever he goes.

mathews has dropped some and threet has been off. no de-commit is ever "good" per se, but if we had to lose a guy let it be at WR. we still got our slot guys coming in and then our UM lifers in 2010.

......but maybe not that surprising. I was surprised he gave UM a verbal to begin with. Figured he'd stay home at Minny esp with the way Brewster has been recruiting.

Given the resurgence of Minny this year, with a young team, I am not surprised he's going to give the home school another look.

We're more than OK at the position.....the only negative I see is that this gives more ammo to the people piling on right now.

Speaking of Minny......they sucked last year.....now they're pretty good.....the key has been turning aorund the worst TO margin into one of the best......and that will be the key to our improvement as well.
