Ugh, this could be bad. With Mike's pro-MSU stance and the duos general lack of knowledge when it comes to college football, it could be tough for Brian to make any intelligent points.

Actually from the short time that I've listened to Drew & Mike this week, Mike hasn't been nearly as obnoxious as you'd imagine on this issue. Drew has thoroughly dissected other issues or stories on the air, but it's hard to tell how far he really cares to dig on this. I could see him buying what Brian is saying but I can also see him mocking Brian with the whole 'people from the internet are wacky, conspiracy theorists' meme. From what I've heard on their show this week, both seem to think the article is a bit of reach.

Stands in stark contrast to the Albom interview where Mitch just seemed to spend the time trying to discredit bloggers in general. Drew & Mike were very respectful. I also was impressed how they asked questions with the apparent intent of highlighting Mgoblog as a legitimate news source. Even went so far as to point out Brian has writers with press credentials granted by the University. Nice job! It is fascinating how people with invested interests in the future of print media come down on the Rosenberg side of this but coaches, players, or other objective media types (i.e. - not Valenti) all seem to see this thing for the shoddy piece of journalism that it is.

The one sad part of the interview was Drew & Mike pointing out that even if Michigan gets exonerated completely by the Big 10 and NCAA, the article will still stain the program. The spin will be, "Michigan got away with something, but they're still cheaters" and not "Mike Rosenberg is an unethical douchebag". This was a point that Brian agreed with them on and noted that is why so many of us are angry. Bummer.
