BRIAN make the MGOBLOG BANNER bigger!

Submitted by turbo cool on

Dear Brian,

I'm diggin the new banner but can you make it bigger man? After all those votes and winning the competition, make the banner take up the entire top of MGOBLOG. Brian, big is beautiful.

Sincerely

aspect ratio is wrong. if it was the entire width of the blog it would be unacceptably tall. also since the blog is so jam-packed with stuff I like the search bar where it is. I don't mind the off-center placement... is it so loathed?

Just an idea, but what if the search bar was moved right above the diaries or right above/below your donation button? The search button always seemed to be in an odd place; maybe it's just me tho. If that is done, the banner would look cool(er) centered...

It would look much better if it were larger. Now, the banner is out weighed by the ad above it. It does not serve the function of a banner at all on my wide screen laptop using wide screen Firefox. Make it wider, the increase in height be dammed. Each of us will make our comments one line shorter so at the end of the day things will end up the same. Sometimes a look at the big picture helps.

It actually shows up perfect on blackberrys! Granted I do frequent the site more on my laptop than the BB, but no opinion on the layout, its not my site to toy with.

if it isn't bitching about uniform design, it's bitching about banner placement. do you people have a tivo season pass set up for HGTV design star?

Um, I have a Tivo season pass set up for Design Star. And Project Runway. And House Hunters. Blame my wife.

Communists allow Tivo?  Do you have to share your recorded shows with everyone in the neighborhood?

I guess it does lend itself better to being monitored by the government/movement/people's republic?

I've been reading that comment thread -- all those show up in my inbox -- and just want to tell you you're doing the Lord's work, meat-gazer.
