Brian Billick a possiblity for ND job?

Submitted by goblueritzy92 on
I was just watching the halftime show for the Iron Bowl on CBS and somebody(don't know who it was) said that he had sources that told him that Brian Billick is a strong possibility if(yes) Chucky gets fired. Thoughts?

The athletic department has been very tight-lipped about the search. This must be an attempt to keep everyone in the dark as to what's really going on.

I'm not worried one bit about who coaches Notre Dame! They've sucked for the last 15 years and probably won't get any better! Can we please stop obsessing and constantly starting threads about who you think will coach Notre Dame? Like Bo said, to hell with notre dame! God we're obsessing over them like osu obsesses with us!

While I agree with you, it's still Notre Dame we're talking about. This isn't just our fan base that's keeping tabs on this whole thing; it's a national topic. We play them every year and we compete with them in recruiting. The coach at Notre Dame is an important topic. With that said, I would be totally fine if there were a stickied thread for the ND coaching search so a thousand of these things don't pop up every time there's a rumor.

Billick has had some highs as a pro coach but he would be a major risk for Notre Dame. After Weis they should be inclined to stay away from the NFL ranks this time around. Of interest will be to see if they resist the urge to go for a big name or a proven college coach.
