Brandon Peters ranked 7th in the Elite 11 by 247 sports
This is 247 sports opinion and not the official Elite 11 camp rankings which should be released soon. Former Michigan commit Messiah Deweaver did not make the top 11.
7. Brandon Peters (Michigan commit) – Peters is one of the best quarterbacks in the Elite 11 from release to completion. The ball is always on target with spin and velocity. If he picks up the pace in his drops and delivery, adds some more urgency, he has a chance to be one of the best quarterbacks in this group.

Except people that don't like his personality on ESPN, or didn't think he was a good pro QB. Neither one of those things, even if true, has a thing to do with whether or not he can evaluate and coach QB's or not.
Isn't deWeaver like 23-years-old? Why is he struggling against 16/17-year-olds?
and reportedly had a very good day.
Here is a Scout story with a video.
National analyst Allen Trieu gave his thoughts on Peters play: "I thought Brandon was solid yesterday, but I thought he took everything further today and was great. He threw some great balls, several into tight windows and looked more decisive and quicker with his reads. I think that's the part of his game he can keep working on, but he throws consistent spirals and a very pretty ball and showed he can make all the throws."
he has many very good days in the next years to come.
Very promising!
Peters ends up as an Elite 11 QB. Ranked 10th in the final official Elite 11 rankings.

That is really cool. His twitter handle looks like it came from a RNG machine.
but then again, so is DatBull.
Was he really ranked 10th or is that just an alphabetized list (after the MVP)? Or is that just a coincidence?
That would be one hell of a coincidence: 1 chance out of 10!
1/3628880 = 0.000000275
Possible, of course, but highly unlikely.
Or do they jsut show the MVP and then the other 10.
Looks like they list MVP and then in alphabetical order list the 10.
Harbaugh really wanted KJ Costello and Peters...guy can pick QBs.
The only Michigan-offered QB who was not participating in the Elite 11 is Vic Viramontes. And the only participant who finished outside of the top eleven was DeWeaver. So 7/9 guys with Michigan offers are considered to be Elite 11 QB prospects.

My son plays at Noblesville so I will see him play as well. Where does your son play?
Give it all up to the god of competition. May the best man win.

I wonder why Big House Blog says he didn't make the final 11
Awesome for Peters. I'm pretty impressed by him and I think he'll be very good. Also, seems like a cool guy.
I recall a comment from one evaluator earlier in the week that — relative to the other QBs in this particular camp — Peters was a bit slower dropping back to pass. I don't recall any other comments in this regard.
I believe that commenter (although there may have been more than one) was Barton Simmons from 247. Peters doesn't spend a lot of time under center, so it may just take some time for him to get coached up, since I'm sure he will spend some time under center at Michigan. It's all relative, though, because I'm sure a lot of these elite quarterbacks are in shotgun most/all of the time.

Interesting to see that Rutgers and Maryland landed QB recruits in the top 11 also. If by chance all three pan out, including Peters, and PSU and ohio utilize their talent--our division of the Big Ten could be quite the show from the pocket in a few years.
PSU has a pretty good QB committed in Jake Zembiec, too. And Minnesota has a jumbo QB named Tony Poljan (6'6", 230 lbs.) from Lansing (MI) Catholic Central who's pretty intriguing.
think about the proper color of maize?
