Brandon Minor 40 yd dash group

Brandon Minor's group is going now on NFL Network. If you don't get the channel, you can watch it here... http://www.nfl.com/combine This will most likely have a huge impact on where/if he gets drafted.

I thought that BMinor would get at least a little bit of mention when it came to this year's RB class. Obviously, his health is a huge issue. However, if he gets all of his joints, tendons, and ligaments replaced there's no reason he can't be a viable 4.3 yd/carry sledgehammer back in the NFL. He has shown the ability to gain tough yards after contact, and while he isn't a home run threat, he can rip off some chunks when he gets a seam. After watching him run over two (2) PSU defenders simultaneously in the backfield and proceed to convert a 4th and 1, what scout wouldn't want him as a goal line guy? (Assuming, of course, said scout didn't see this year's Illinois game.)

With the way he runs, I would hope he at least gets a shot at running as a backup to guys like Chris Johnson, Jamaal Charles, or Darren Sproles who may need a bigger back to get in there and plow through the line occasionally. Or at least that's where I think he would fit in at the next level.

Too bad for him. He's probably going to get several invites to training camps, but nothing guaranteed. He's got the talent, but his body won't cooperate. There's been some pretty impressive 40 times. 4.28 for Jacoby Ford and a 4.35 for Jahvid Best. The cornerbacks are going to burn shit up.

I think Minor not only will make an NFL team, but he will play significantly and well in the NFL. In addition to running hard, he is a great blocker in pass protection, which is the weakness of most NFL rookie backs. If he can somehow escape major injury (doubtful given his history) he will be an excellent back.
