Bowl game $wag bags
Normally I'm against using '$' in words but this fits.
Some hilariously bad ones in here. I feel so, so, so, so bad for the Colorado State and Nevada teams.
Not only are you in a bowl game that is not televised but rather streamed online, not only are you in a bowl game that is not exactly a vacation bowl away from your region, not only are you FROM THE SAME CONFERENCE PLAYING IN A BOWL because the suits from the B1G wouldn't allow their 5-7 teams to play in a game that they are not tied into.......
Your bowl gift is literally a pair of cowboy boots.

Yeah, that's what WD was saying. It's probably not $500 cowboy boots because other bowls have just 1 gift and they wouldn't be worth $500 either necessarily.

You still might be right. The players walk into a room and pick what they want. The Bowls don't have to list every item so I can see the Cotton Bowl and Jerry World throwing a nice old school Cowboy type bash with Irvin as the guest host.

At least CSU and Nevada haven't played this year. The last two bowl games to feature teams from the same conference were rematches.

I thought Utah-BYU was a rematch but I guess it's not. Aren't they rivals?

They also aren't in the same conference. The previous two bowl games were the 2012 BCS Championship Game between LSU and Alabama and the 1979 Orange Bowl between Oklahoma and Nebraska. Both those games were rematches.

Has had rematches a couple of times in bowl games.
FSU and Florida played in the Sugar Bowl in the mid-90's. Florida won the rematch and ended up winning the NC.
FSU and Miami, FL played in the Orange Bowl during the mid 2000's. Another rematch.

Except FSU is in the ACC and Miami was in the Big East when they played in the Orange Bowl. And Florida is in the SEC. So those aren't teams from the same conference playing in a bowl game.

I get free stuff at work too, and I'm (usually) very grateful for that. If my employer tried to tell me that was my compensation for the week, I would have a very different opinion.

This has nothing to do with Michigan's swag bag, but if you go to a bowl at 5-7 I feel like all you deserve in your swag bag is a Coke, a gently used Fall Out Boy CD from 2008, and a Timex watch from Kohl's.
