WD picked the wrong jacket. Probably only because this was not in the catalog. I had figured this was a previously unreleased down jacket. Only difference between this one and one in the catalog is this has vertical quilting on the shoulders and a chest pocket.

Edit: And this one is $150 more, I think.

WD, unfortunately, mis-identified the jacket. He was thinking it was the ShockEnergy Transition Jacket, but it is the Terrex Korum Jacket. They are similar, but the adidas logo is on the opposite side, the stitching is different, and the ShockEnergy Transition Jacket looks lighter (both in color and puffiness).

I have that jacket - it's sweet for cool & damp weather. The down jacket might be warmer for when the temps actually dip into the COLD though - like most of the Midwest now!!

You would NOT be wearing that Columbia jacket outside in Michigan today - unless you had thermals, a sweater & a hoodie on under it!

$250 is a bit pricey for a jacket in my book, but I like the look.

Still ... here in Tucson there's about 3 days a year I'd need a jacket like that.  The rest of the year it would sit in the closet along with all my other coats from earlier days living in colder weather.

A) Using Harbaugh dictionary definitions, "dad pants" =/= pleats. Blame too much material or poor design for the really terrible examples, not the pleats. There are plenty of guys who should wear pleats.

2) Flat fronts are in fashion right now, but saying "ever" when talking about style is almost always a bad idea. I'll bet any amount of MGoPoints or lemon eating videos that pleated pants will be back in fashion while I'm alive. It's inevitable.

D) Again, it's all in the execution. It'd be tough to find anything like this off the rack today, but that doesn't mean Connery suddenly looks like a bum. He'd get a 2015 version of Pussy Galore walking into the bar wearing this tonight. Raback it.
