Big Ten Tourney Tickets Question

Submitted by True Blue 9 on March 10th, 2019 at 1:24 PM

Super pumped to be going to my first Big Ten tourney, as we just recently relocated to Chicago. I'm curious if anyone has good advice on buying tickets. We're toying with buying tickets to both sessions on Friday. Is StubHub the best bet? Will people be selling tickets by the arena if their team has already been eliminated?

Thanks for any advice! Go Blue!

Just depends on your personality. If you wanna get the best price and don't mind potentially coming away empty handed or with worse seats than you wanted, there will definitely be people scalping tickets. If you want to guarantee a seat I always think it's better to just buy from Stubhub. It's typically easier to get semifinal and finals tickets because of upsets rather than trying to get Friday tickets because those matchups are usually pretty much locked in

Granted this was a couple years ago but when we went to Chicago we banked on scalper tickets and it didn't work out. They weren't allowed anywhere near the arena and because of that once you did find one a couple blocks away, they had very limited options. Plus you had to factor walking into unknown areas to find one which I did but my buddy with his wife said ...that's a hard pass. There was a stub hub ticket office right across the street if it's still there as well in case you strike out. The problem with Chicago compared to Indy is that there really isn't any common gathering areas outside the arena to try and get knockout tickets either. I was able to sell mine once blue got knocked out at the tourney bus stops which I did see others trying to do as well.

I believe our first game is game #2 of the evening session Friday, starting at approximately 8:30 CDT (9:30 Eastern).

Will Saturday's game be cheaper on StubHub than Friday's game?

I have 3 in 201 for tomorrow night.  that I am trying to get to Michigan fans for $50 less than they are going for on stubhub after fees. I’m at the games or can transfer via Ticketmaster. The guys outside are crazy aggressive.
