"Worried about today, tomorrow." pressure to do better in OSU game, haven't done do well- "Pressure on yourself. Go into every season saying you have to win that game. Have to get better...will win when you deserve to...". Super dumb follow up question on not understanding what he said about scheduling new conference/OSU.

Secondary question (Tim?), an intelligent one. Troy great spring, CSM Gordon too. JT Floyd also..gives them confidence, if he can lock down other spot. Safety open, freshmen could factor.

He's done...I'm spent.

varsityblue RR: JT Floyd played a bit last year, had a great spring, and we need him to continue progressing.

michdailysports Rodriguez: Worried with people leaving in secondary. J.T. Floyd has given a lot of confidence in other secondary spot. Safety is wide open.

What team-building activities MSU has worked on since last year, other than dorm brawls.

Or maybe just a question on his thoughts of the M/msu game. I just want a good reaction out of him, these Q/A sessions can be a little dry

RichRod was great on the dais today.

He appears relaxed, positive, eager, and prepared.

Easily he was the best guy on the show this morning.

He is a good ambassador for UM.

...relevant bits:

varsityblue Michigan's meeting before the NCAA is August 13th - they adjusted summer practice schedule so Rodriguez wouldn't miss any practices. [Probably why practice start went from Aug 10 to Aug 9]

varsityblue RR: Darryl Stonum won't face added punishment for violating probation. VSmith should be 100% by camp, MCox and FToussaint will also be key.

varsityblue A few more RR tidbits after he left the podium: Michael Shaw has two more weeks of summer school, so RR won't speculate on eligibility.

I suppose it should depend on the circumstances of why he violated. Was it because he was intentionally avoiding it? Did he avoid the BAC tests because he was drinking? Or was it because he's irresponsible, which is what college is there to fix.

I agree about the Fitz part at RB.  I just watched some of the spring game again yesterday and I have to say that he (and Cox from the limited times he got the ball) looked like the best RB out there.  Decent size with enough power and quickness to deliver a blow and make people miss.  Didn't get to see him in the open field to guage his top end speed, but hopefully we'll see that this coming season.  Thought he did great and I have a feeling he might just get the most snaps at the position this season.

I know why...but did EVERY Illinois highlite have to be vs. Michigan?

Dantonio have problems keeping his mic up.

Coach Dantonio, has Michigan State University considered installing a permanent penitentiary on campus to allow players to stay close to the team during their inevitable incarcerations?

....good stuff:

michdailysports News from RR side interview: Stonum to receive no extra discipline, Denard will play a different position if he doesn't start.

michdailysports Also, Vincent Smith is most likely 100% going in. Not many injuries that should last through practice, except Will Heininger.

Another candidate for worst question. How do I keep from being overconfident? I remind the team that we lost a ton of games last year.

...fodder:

BFeldmanESPN Talked to RichRodriguez, who raved about how much progress QB Denard Robinson has made on &off field. Pressure's on Tate Forcier to keep up.

[Not clear if that last bit was Feldman or RichRod. I'm guessing the former.]

We have another candidate for worst question! "I've been covering you for a long time and I'm thinking you'll be PSU's coach until the day you die. What do you think about that?"

It's getting worse: "I understand you had an intestinal issue."

M-Wolverine

Who keeps asking ALL these horrible questions. Are you going to coach till you're dead? Really? WTF?! Then asking about his ass, and if it hurts recruiting. Take the mic from this woman and get rid of her!!

(Though Joe doesn't sound very good...)

I just got back from lunch and I watched it a bit at home and Danny Hope was so nervous up there -- he looked extremely uncomfortable.  Then he kept adjusting the mic and it kept falling down.  He had a deer in headlights look.

Paterno will be playing for 400 vs. us.

Also, top scoring defenses last year- Nebraska, Bama, PSU, Florida, OSU. All real good teams. I hope we will continue to build that defense, and not be depending on "OMG Offense!" for years to come.

...The Little Brown Jug rivalry.

michdailysports On future of Brown Jug: "We haven't played Mich for the past two years, and to me, I don't see anything differently there..."

michdailysports "...The Little Brown Jug is a historical game..I Just don't feel like that game is in the same place as the Wisconsin and Iowa games for us"
