Interestingly enough, just a short time back I was pondering the state of the world in general, and some discussion arose about the Heisman. I started down the path that ended in the question "would he have won without Michigan's record". I started thinking about the highlight film (no link, this one is in my head) and realized that over and above the day in, day out performance, a lot of his highlight plays had at least the potential to be game changing plays, if not a play that just ripped the heart out of a team. Of course, none of this means a thing, beyond reminding me of why he remains one of my favorite players of all time. He did the walkin', indeed.
