"Big 10 Refs are bad and they should feel bad" (Basketball Edition)

All I have to say has been said in the title.

Wow.

Sorry your potentially awesome game was painfully taken away from you, Ace. On behalf of the MGoBlog community, we hope you'll feel better soon.

Overturning that is totally against the spirit of the rule. When you get the ball poked away it's supposed to go to the offense. If you break it down to the millisecond then of course it's on Mathews' hands. He had the ball! And it's being knocked away. Since he didn't re-touch it after losing the ball it should have been Michigan ball. That sequence of events happens nearly every time a player loses the ball.

Refs were shit but another thing to work on: Our offense looked like it was being coached by Drevno in those last few posessions. Good lord it was bad and needs work, everything went out the window

It's baffling to me that we never get any semblance of home field advantage in the refs when everyone else does (Every game at the Breslin ever, Minnesota last year, OSU 2016 in football, etc.).

Exciting Hard Fought Great Basketball Game. Feel Bad for The Good Guys. Kids Played With Heart Passion Energy. Mo worked his Ass Off Defensively each possession, and routinely called on iffy fouls, while Haas, not called on either end. Frustrating, as a 10 minute review, must not present refutable evidence. Also, it undermined momentum/offensive flow. Loved Livers Defense, especially on Matias. I hate being a cliche Michigan Fan Whining about the Refs, but I am. It was just sad. I agree with the comments about people dropping too many F-Bombs. That being said, FUCK!

Perhaps I'm a masochist and don't realize it. Why must I emotionally invest myself in something that I know will be cruelly ripped away from me by a douchebag in zebra stripes and a donut-haired, professional masturbator? Fuck Delaney and his amateur refs.

How those 3 refs call that play tomorrow night. 100,000 times in a row they have given that to the offense, and the next 100,000 they will, too.

Let’s go to replay and call traveling every time a guy shuffles his feet when catching a pass. It makes as much sense.

Using the football equivalent, Mo didn’t turn him at all. Won’t be called in that situation the next 100 times you see it.

If you want to get technical, Haas hooked Mo first. (Also wouldn’t ever get called, but if they were looking for the make up call that we deserved....)

the last 6 seconds of this game are why the sport is garbage and I don't tend to watch with any emotional investment or foceus anymore.

6 seconds litterally took 6 mins. the refs made themselves look like idiots. M gets screwed in the most critical game of the year.

I was pissed in the aftermath because Ace got it perfectly right in his recap. That was a high level basketball game and if Matthews bricks a shot and Edwards drains a 3 at the buzzer, then so be it. I won't be happy, but Purdue won fair and square.

That was a robbery. The audacity to go over to the scorer's table and say "We saw two or three frames" is laughable. And then to call that ticky tack foul on Wagner after the ref sees Haas hook his free arm around Wagner's back is unbelieveable.

Seriously, fuck those refs for ruining an otherwise great game.

Holy crap is this thread full of drek and trolls.

I know it's extreme, but could we instuite a 1 month moratorium on any new member posting (anyone who joined after "The Game"). The exception is the new member who isn't an insufferable troll

This is obviously a league wide conspiracy to screw Michigan however possible.  We are easily the best basketball and football program in the conference, and the only thing holding us back is Delaney and his quest to keep us down.

Ohio State and Penn State are not better football programs than us, they just have the refs on their side.  It must be because of Harbaugh.  They're threatened by how powerful he is so they've screwed us with bad officiating.

It's time we leave the conference and maybe the entire NCAA, we'll just play intersquad games year round and know in our hearts that Michigan is still the best program in the country.
