Big 10 Championship Game Open Thread

No meteors seem in the forecast in the greater Indiana area per NASA, so we'll be forced to watch our top 2 competitors in the East face off.  Short of a 25+ pt blowout MSU is destined for the Rose, OSU is playing for the right to give up 60 pts to Florida State.

Have at it....

Gotta root for Sparty tonight.  MSU is likely to end up in the Rose regardless, the least they can do is keep OSU out of the NC.  Lesser of two evils.

Dunno, my gut is telling me this is not a great environment for Staee and their style. I also don't think they can work up as much emotion against Ohio - on some level they admire them.

I'm trying to think of a way they can both lose...

Having said that I suspect both teams will get crushed in their respective bowl games, because as Brian Cook says "Big Ten!"

I suspect the same, the more I think about it.  MSU has only played two (at the time) ranked teams, ND and us, and lost to ND.   It'll be interesting to see if Ohio can run the ball on MSU's D.

OSU should win this game, but I don't trust their defense.  And they are not going to run MSU off the field, so it will be interesting to see how Urban responds to Auburn's impressive win.

I confess, I actually like Gus Johnson. He's had some epic, funny, over the top broadcasts of bottom dweller B1G basketball games in the past. He can make Northwestern vs. Iowa sound like a final four game.
