Big 10 - ACC Challenge Open Thread

Submitted by Bosch on

After our loss, it's hard to find the motivation to get too into the challenge..... but the games are something to flip the channel to during stoppage of the Red Wing game.

Let's go B1G..... spefically Indiana, PSU, Nebraska, Minn, and Wisconsin.

What happened to that State cheerleader?

I flipped to the Wings, then back and they were getting the stretcher out to clear her off of center court.

Can I laugh at that, or is she actually hurt bad?

BC must really blow, down to Pnn St, ableit by 2 with 16 minutes left in the 2nd 1/2.  The Eagles are home.

The score of the IU-NC St. game suggestes that IU isn't interested in defense.  Wrong?

over in the women's Big Ten-ACC Challenge, Michigan gave a valiant effort in a 74-65 loss on the road to Maryland, ranked #6 in the country. First loss for the women's squad, which is now 7-1 on the season.

Loking at Indiana, they're gonna struggle in the Big Ten, but Zeller is going to pull a couple of upsets this season by himself

Edit; Zeller is still a beast, but I can't call the Big Ten, I know OSU/Wiscy are going to be really good and PSU/Minnesotoa.Nebraska wil be really bad, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to place the rest of the hierarchy right now

I don't hae points to make a new board post, but Steve Burns is out as soccer head coach.  Just last year he took them to the Final 4, but this year they went 5-14.  I feel like Brandon has high expectations for all Varsity sports now.

big ten currently at 7-2 against the acc, final three games being played right now and big ten up in all three (ok, wisco is only 5-4, but still)

That would be three straight "challenge" wins for the conference, right?

I'm not sure if many people realize how amazing that is ... the ACC *owned* the Big Ten for most of the first several years of that challenges. It wasn't even close in some years.

if by most of the first several years you mean was up 10-0 before the last 2 then yeah, don't get too excited yet about the BiG, the acc is gonna be straight terrible this year outside of unc and a most likely overrated duke.

Realize noone may see this...But wanted to ask, does it seem to anyone that as soon as the Big Ten wins this chellenge, reporters lost interest in it as a national story.

I seem to remember all sorts of stories/articles about how the ACC winning this challenge was proof of their dominance and everyone should bow down, but the last several years when the Big Ten has won, Nothing!  ESPN's biggest story on this is UNC's return to form against Wiscy

No, the "Big Ten is a Force"? No "watch out for Purdue"?? No "OSU may be.." I can't finish that statement as a Wolverine.   but anyway, am I being crazy and biased and over-reacting?
