17-16 Jags.

BG hasn't recorded anything new but has been pressuring the QB on most plays. He seems to be even faster (!!) off the ball snap and has some new hand moves. Otherwise, almost all of the Jags' plays have been passes as the Eagles' secondary has been taken advantage of a few times (McCown is 5/5 for 147 and 2TDs.). The Eagle's DL looks great, causing the Jags' to only run 3 running plays. This definitely accounts for the lack of BG tackles and he has been close to sacking McCown 2 or 3 times. Even with the lack of stats, the announcers have praised BG numerous times for his quickness, moves and tenacity for getting to the ball.

For those interested, Vick has looked great on the run, and good on the pass. He ran for 1TD but threw 1INT and lost a fumble while scrambling.

I watched just about the whole game tonight. I think he actually played every drive in the first half but you are right he didn't start but came in on third down on the first drive to rush the passer. He blasted Garrard on the one play just after he released the ball. The announcers are obsessed with am I.

was commentating the game and seemed very pleased with how BG played early which I think bodes very well for BG since Hugh is one of the players BG is compared to most here in Philly.

Watching the replay on NFL Network and, I want to first clarify that I am not undermining the praise of BG because he is obviously worthy of every single compliment he has ever received, but these Philly announcers are some of the biggest homers I have ever seen. Their defense stops the Jaguars the first few drives and they act like it shows they're Super Bowl contenders. It's the first preseason game.

But I be the first to admit that if the Lions play well tomorrow, I will be as optimistic as any other kool-aid drinker.

are great together I am not sure why they did not chose them for the game. These announcers couldn't stop talking about that young nucleus, which as an eagles fan is great but as a person not yet ready for all eagles all the time was quite annoying.
