Baumgardner predicts OSU blowout

If there's any paint left on the walls inside Michigan's offensive line room, there shouldn't be. The Wolverines' front five has now watched two different starting quarterbacks leave games and head to the hospital. That's unacceptable. At some point, enough has to be enough. Say whatever you want about the quarterback situation in Ann Arbor, but until the offensive line can show an ability to keep a guy standing upright for more than two seconds at a time, nothing else will matter. It's gut check time for plenty of folks on this football team, but the offensive line comes first.
If Peters were healthy and his offensive line showed an ability to keep him clean, I'd give Michigan a chance. But neither appear to be true. The Wolverines will no doubt empty their tank Saturday. They'll give Ohio State everything they have. They may even scare the Buckeyes. But there's not enough proven evidence in 2017 that suggests it'll be enough.

Pick: Ohio State 31, Michigan 10

It's so frustrating how Michigan consistently fields subpar to pathetic offensive lines. If I was an elite QB, why would I choose Michigan after watching multiple QBs being taken to the hospital behind this O-Line? It's a miracle O'Korn hasn't been hurt with some of the shots he's taken too.

Milton might be rethinking his decision. Who could blame him. Honestly can't see why any elite qb (or recruit) would come to Micigan. There are those who say well "it"s Michigan an elite school", "JH is a qb whisperer", "this offense prepares you for the nfl", etc..... Only the homers on this site think these are what the 18 yr olds are thinking. Most 18yr olds do not have the same love affair with Michigan as people here. Results and what have you done lately are THE biggest selling points for a program. Michigan possess neither of these selling points. It's a hard sell these days and after tomorrow it doesn't get easier. Lot of visitors tomorrow too!!!!!

And I'll piss people off with this comment but the OL - I question their manhood. Both hits on the QBs that knocked them out this year, and put them in the HOSPITAL were dirty hits and where was ANY offensive linemen to protect their QB. Idc if you get thrown out of the game, you show a message that if you do that there is hell to pay. Say what you want about Taylor Lewan he was an asshole, but you know what, someone hit his QB like that he would have retaliated. This OL was an embarrassment because of their play AND their demeanor. WEAK.

This post is absolutely beautiful! Couldn't have said it better. It's one thing to not be able to (pass) protect the qb, and it's another thing to not defend the qb. The Oline seemed as if they didn't care or were afraid. Pathetic

Been watching football 41 years and know a thing or two enough to say this more scheme than players. Pro staff expecting pro competence from college kids. Expecting Pro QB progressions from college QBs not named Andrew Luck. This system is the problem. It’s a system more reliant on card castle execution than other college systems. JH succeeded at Stanford with this system more due to the talent brains and legs of a once in a generation talent like Luck and his staff is projecting too much competence on this squad and it is getting QBs hurt.

Back in the days of betting cards we'd always take the points for the underdog in the MSU and OSU lines and generally won. Even that Devin Gardner team got close.

I predict exact same as 2015. Close for a quarter and a half then an absolute blowout. 42-13 OSU Still going to the game, I’m sure I’ll be angry as hell with all the O-H chants but whatever. It’s the last chance to watch Michigan live this year. It will be a Looooooong off season

I don't see how it's even that close.  I think Michigan is going to get killed in an incredibly embarrassing way.  If this game were played 100 times, Michigan would lose 100 times.  I expect Malzone to play half the game because Peters is out and JOK will get injured behind our so called offensive line.  Our defense will wilt because they know we have no chance whatsoever.  This loss will be one for the history books.

There.  That's the best I can do to jinx the outcome.  Hopefully that ensures the opposite of everything I just wrote happens.

Who gives a shit what he thinks? He probably hangs out with Valenti. Screw both of them and Go Blue. We'll never be favored in this game until we break the mold. Why not tomorrow at home? Also Delaney owes us one after that screw job in Columbus last year. Maybe this years crew will all be from Washtenaw county. Bo needed '69 to base his program and Jim needs this one. I can feel it lets get behind these kids and do it. We are every bit as good as Iowa.

I was about to type F*** Baumgartner the Sparty but he is partly right. He failed to mention the RBs. They have blown a ton of blocking assignments. Unless I'm wrong and the OL repeatedly blew the slides leaving the RB unable to pick up the free guy.

Nick has been critical of Wolverine coaching...especially offensive coaching.  He has made good, fair criticisms over the course of the season.

The fatal defect in this Wolverine team is the less-than-stellar OL...particularly pass protection. RBs bear some responsibility but it largely falls on the sub-par OL play.  Cole is a bandaid at LT...should be playing C. Michigan's dearth of good-to-great OTs is hurting.

Buckeyes strength is its front 7.  Bosa and Hubbard and the gang are going to feast on this Michigan exterior OL. Only way to beat this Buckeye d is with a passing game that can hit deep seam routes exploiting the holes in the Buckeye secondary. We have neither the QB or OL or WR corps to make this happen.

My heart says Michigan will keep it close because of its D.  But I think the D eventually gives way in 2nd half.  OSU will win going away.

The D has carried this team far too long this year. No contribution whatsoever from JH"s offense all year. It will catch up to them tomorrow! Don Browns dudes will be on the field for most of the game due to record setting 3 and outs from offense. If not over by halftime then early 3rd qtr. Lopsided loss and more of the same next year.

I’d say 37-13 osu. I bet this will be very psu game like. Osu scores a couple times early then the um defense responds but offense looks like an old bag of beat up testicles. In the 3rd quarter osu goes hambone and turns UM into their little girlfriends and by the end of the game the whole team looks like a bunch of Thailand ladyboys prancing around the field. I’ll be leaving Columbus at 3am and will watch every minute hoping I’m wrong. GO BLUE! As a side note holly crap I called that Wisconsin game damn near down the play.

I remember being in the Shoe in 2014 with my girlfriend, and the thing she remembers the clearest was my disdane and complaining about  the O-line, man I wish things would change, too much stubrness, arrogance, and just narcissim in general. I am wish for a mirical tomorrow in AA, just seams like all the cards are stacked against us, again.
