Barwis - Foote, Woodley and Breaston

Can anyone confirm if these three conditioned with barwis in the offseason? I seem to remember them in articles. Its great to see them all have success after the barwis training. (I know Watson and Branch were probably too ..... uhhh big.... to train with Barwis.)

Let's hope this is a sign of things to come.

Most players condition on their own time before the season. They have millions of dollars, so they can afford top notch trainers. Foote, Victor Hobson, all raved about Barwis because he gave them a giant folder of workouts to do.

NFL teams actually don't train their players as hard as college teams do. They don't condition much at all. It's basically the player's job to come to work in good shape. This is why you see fatasses in the NFL like Ted Washington and Gilbert Brown and you don't see such big, sloppy guys in college.

If you don't believe me, take a look at Gabe Watson. Yeah, he was fat at Michigan...but now he's REALLY fat.

Foote and Woodley both trained with Barwis.

In the off season, there was a lot of talk that Foote would lose playing time to a guy like Timmons (2nd year LB from FSU) and he used the Barwis experience to help get him a whole new edge. He probably would credit this past offseason as a main reason he's held onto his position as strongly as he did.

Woodley is a beast either way, but he did take the proverbial leap this year. That was going to happen either way, but it helped that he entered camp in probably the best physical shape of his life.
