Barwis Effect

Submitted by Ziff72 on
My buddy and I have debated the whole S&C program for years. While we were on different sides of the argument we both were excited whwn Barwis came. We were a little disappointed this summer though...not in Barwis but the lack of info on the players. We all heard about Taylor and Graham losing weight, but with Rod's new open door policy and the internet dead just looking for info we thought there would be more details about 40 times..lifting records or gains....I remember seeing something someone took a picture outside the weight room where Hemmingway seemed to be the team leader in numerous drills, but not much was made of it. What do you guys think?? Too nerdy for people to care(doubt it it's the internet) They keep that info private(maybe don't want to embarrass anyone) I'm looking in the wrong spot(I'm on MGOBLOG I gotta be in the right spot. Just to clarify looking for something like this 20 shuttle Trent 8.68 Hemmingway 8.75 Stonum 8.77 . . . . Kates 47.68 Clean and Jerk Taylor 500 Graham 480 you get the drift....

I don't have any numbers for you, but I spoke with a player yesterday after I watched the S & C video. I asked them how different it was so far, from last year. He told me that they're already seeing a lot of improvement, but that everyone is bought in now. Not that anyone was mad, but that Barwis is unique, and people were unsure. This time people are bought in, but doing more on the side to help. I think we'll start to see the results we were promised more in this next season.

those numbers you speak of is in the weeks between signing day and spring practice. So I'd say check back in early March when the team is well into winter conditioning and everyone is scraping the barrel for something to talk about.

I remember seeing those same pictures of leaders at various position groups for bench, squat, cleans, 40, shuttle, etc. I think I remember CONER! actually leading the quarterbacks in a lot of the categories. Which is probably not what you want.
