Badgers VS Buckeyes. Who Ya Got?

Submitted by MichiganForever on
I think O$U leads 17-10 going into the 4th. Wisconsin lone TD comes on a Barrrettt interception backed against their endzone. However, Wisconsin are driving into Buckeye territory deep into the redzone when Hornibrook throws a pick in the end zone. Samuel breaks free for a 50 yarder up the gut next drive to clinch the win, 24-10. What say you?

is NFL sized, if they are able to establish a running game, control the clock with no turnovers they can pull this off 23-20 and I think they can. #OnWisconsin

But there's no way Wiscy stops his feet. He's got the capability to put the rest of the team on his back and carry them if needed.

But I doubt he'll need to do it. The Wolverines were able to run against the Badgers pretty effectively, and Weber and Samuel will be able to do it, too.

OSU. I don't think Wisconsin has enough offensive fire power to duel with OSU. Which I'm okay with. I'd like to see an undefeated Michigan and an undefeated OSU in November for The Game.

On paper, this looks like OSU big, but it's a night game in Camp Randall and there's a fairly good chance of rain and wind during the game. OSU has had some mediocre opponents look good at times on D, but has used their own opportunistic D to put them away (Tulsa/ IU). Other times they look like world-beaters (OU).

Wiscy is not the type of opponent to give away points and will use the home crowd momentum to keep it close until late. OSU 27-20.

I'm going with Ohio State by a field goal, and I hate myself for saying that. On the upside, between the Cubs Dodgers and this game, tomorrow night is going to be some excellent sports viewing.

If Michigan (11-0) beats OSU (11-0), Michigan goes to the B10 championship game.

If Michigan (11-0) loses to OSU (10-1, with a loss to Wisconsin, I don't see a possible second loss on their schedule), OSU would have the tiebreaker and go to the B10 championship game, right?

So wouldn't it be better if both teams were 11-0 going into The Game?

Just feels like one of those games that OSU dominates from start to finish. Hope i'm wrong, but it could very well be another one of those 59-0 beat downs. I don't see how Wisconsin scores anything more that a field goal or two.

Osu wins big. They finish in the red zone and Wisconsin offense still sucks. After the big win a general sense of doom about that game returns.

to 'Michigan Lite' ie Michigan without the plethora of offensive weapons Harbaugh has brought to bear in the past few games. That feels about right to me. If the Badger D can reasonably shut down OSU's run game and force Barrett to beat them with his arm they have a fighting chance. That being said, Michigan ran for 4.6 YPC against this team at home, and I see OSU's run game as being more potent than ours.

I suspect a great game from the Badger D line with one or two interceptions could turn the tide. Remember MSU's front 7 carrying the team in front of an average secondary? College teams least of all OSU don't have the passing chops to punish such defenses.

With the bye week I pick Wisconsin. 20-17.

So who is everyone rooting for?  On the one hand if OSU got to 2 losses before the game that is great because it means Michigan can lose a close game at osu, go to the big ten championship and still get into the playoffs.

But if they only are going to lose 1 game I think I'd rather both OSU and Michigan be undefeated for the  game.

no way Wisconsin even hangs around. No kicking game, so osu should explore their special teams. Wisconsin offense is NOT good. at all. defense is good, yes, but osu offense has too much speed for them. I think Ohio state could easily hang 50 on them, but I'll say 48-6

My head says Buckeye, but my heart says Bucky.

If everything went according to plan, there would be no reason to watch games. Rivalries, upsets and the occasional insanity is what makes college football fun to watch. Here's hoping Bucky pulls out the upset.

Wisconsin wins.

OSU's defense will not intimidate Wiscy. They've played LSU, Michigan and MSU. Say what you want about the Sparty's. Their D(when Wiscy played them) was still at LEAST 5X better than ANY defense OSU has faced this season.

UM & LSU were approximately 27.5X better than ANY defense they've faced this season.

OSU is young & talented but at this point they are very overrated and the worst thing is that they don't believe it...yet. They will see it on saturday night at the Camp.

Wiscy will use their now healthy RB's to simply eat the clock and JAM that ball down OSU's throat all night. All that speed & athletisicm don't do shit against a team that is patient and willing to just use their size & toughness to ram it at you.

I cant wait for this game.

I'll have what you're having.

I want to believe you, but I think OSU is going to do exactly what Wisconsin would want to do if at offense was firing on all cylinders.

Run the ball right down your throat, keep your defense on the field for long stretches, and set up the play action.

OSU by 2 TDs.

Wisconsin's defense comes out fired up, makes some plays early on, and gets the crowd into it. Watt forces a fumble on OSU's opening drive and sets their offense up with a short field to go up 7-0. Camp Randall is going bonkers.

Then OSU goes to work.

Wisconsin's defense can only keep them in the game by themselves for so long. They find ways to slow Weber/Barrett/Samuel down for the first half, but Wisconsin has too many stalled drives on offense, and while OSU never runs away with it, the game always feels just out of reach for Wisconsin.

A valiant effort from Wisconsin's defense, but OSU just has too much firepower on offense. By the start of the fourth quarter, Wisconsin's defense is gassed, and Hornibrook just can't consistently put drives together to give the defense some rest.

35-21 OSU

Not sure what the point is of going back to 2000 (other than searching for hope for the upset). What does the 2001 Tressel transitional year have to do with today's OSU?

If anything, series history should give us pause, since UW is 0-3 against Meyer with a 59-0 loss in the last matchup.
