The Bacon Blog

If you are not signed up or a regular visitor to this site you need to be.  Although many of the topics and subjects are Michigan related the lessons and takes often reflect life.  I enjoy the Bacon Blog as much as I did Mike Royko.

One of my favorite authors and teachers. There would always be a life lesson somewhere in his lectures to take home. Very impactful in my formative years. Highly reccomended.

Bacon used the term "Schadenfreude" on TKA this AM.  I laughed out loud.

He's a great talent, obviously very smart guy but may be blowing his chance at going national by being so close to our beloved program (but I don't hink he cares)

Mitch album is an overrated DB and I've never understood his fame. Most people I know stopped paying attention to him 10 years ago.

Sitting in Zingerman's Roadhouse last month and saw they were advertising "Camp Bacon". I thought, "Hey, cool! They're giving John some love!"

From the information in the Camp Bacon flyer, it looked like they were going to lampoon his last name a little. They were showing how pork bellies became bacon, great foods to eat with bacon (like ice cream and chocolate), etc. And, of course, there would be lots and lots of samples of bacon. I like bacon as much as the next guy, so that sounded good to me.

So, I asked the assistant head waitress (she's got a lot of new stuff on order, but they're telling her that doesn't mean anything until she becomes head waitress; so for now, she's living in the pantry, but she's making hybrid brownie-hash) about the event. Turns out that John Bacon isn't even going to be there unless he buys his own ticket!

I was so pissed off, I decided not to even go.

Dang, I thought I was special for copying Desmond's catch against ND and striking the Heisman pose in the endzone. For the record, I also copied Nienberg's missed FG against Washington with a couple of minutes left. My first try hit the right upright and the second one was good. I guess I still needed Brabbs too!!
