Glen holds an ncaa record that I dont think will ever be surpased. 184 points in 89 tourney. I think he is also top 5 in career points in the big ten. Steve Smith was a fantastic player, even though he attended MSU, but he cannot match Glen.

easy now, smitty was the point guard on my aau team...and i can tell you even he would not even agree that he's ahead of glen rice...ss is about as nice a guy as you'll ever meet and the best point guard i've ever played with...but better then rice? not so fast

How much of Steve Smith's career was in the 80s? As I recall, he was drafted in '91, so most likely his best year or two were mostly in the 90s. I still won't agree that he is a head of Rice, but I don't understand why he would be in that category. Am I wrong? Was he actually a prolific player in 80s?
