Auston Robertson Was Whistleblower in Alleged MSU Football Assault

Submitted by Mercury Hayes on

Auston Robertston (Yes, that Auston Robertson) was the player who told Mark Dantonio about the alleged sexual assaults involving three Michigan State football.

You may recall, Robertson has since been kicked off the team for a separate sexual assault that occurred while the initial investigation was underway. Here is the link to that story from April.

  • So to recap, Robertson was present for two different alleged sexual assualts in Spring semester
  • Understood that the first alleged assault was wrong but then assaulted a girl months later anyway (while his girlfriend waited in the car)

Update: MSU Trustee says he mispoke. Although people on this board implicated Robertson months ago. I wonder if anyone can FOIA who Dantonio met with on the 16th by checking his emails and or calendar.

I remember reading about a legacy recruit last year who's father, uncles etc. were former Spartans but liked Michigan. I don't remember his name but, Is there any chance we go after him or other highly ranked commits while the ship is sinking? Gillison, Henderson, Day???? I'm sure other schools are thinking about it

So you can understand Dantoni's anger when he found out that Blackwell had known about it for some period of time and didn't tell Dontoni.

"In a message to MLive, Lyons later said that he "completely misspoke" and "multiple cases going on and get confusing at times."

So maybe it wasn't Robertson after all.  Regardless, why the hell would a trustee name the source? For what its worth its hilarious that he's on the radio discussing these cases in the first place, but then says he can't keep them all straight. Lol. If that's not a lack of institutional control.....

The comment I was going to leave completely changed after reading the body of the post reminding me he was the guy kicked off for sexual assault

I was going to say something like "Good For Him. At least he was smart enough to know if he didnt report the sexual assault that he would get tangled up in it too and possibly kicked off the team with the other 3 guys" buttttt...........fuck him he's a piece of shit

Reported the incident involving his teammates. He was then accused of sexual assault where there were no witnesses. Could he have been setup?

Then this football program is completely f'ed up.  I don't believe18-19 year olds can come up with such a detailed, diabolical plan unless they grew up watching Cruel Intentions.

WTH??  MSU is the Mos Eisley of college football.  Nothing should suprise me coming form them, but somehow they manage to keep shooting themselves in the face over and over again.

Crazy what is happening in East Lansing. Will be interesting to see how the season plays out for Staee. Just getting to 6-6 would be a huge achievement.
