Espn has completely lost their way... they are a mix of sensationalism, the tabloid, and a desire to make the news rather than report it.  The collection of ass clowns who have worked there is long and distinguished:

- Chris Berman

- Stephan A Smith

- Skip Bayless

- Colin Cowherd

- Matt Millen

- Woody Paige

- Steve Phillips

- Tony Kornheiser

- Dana Jacobson

- Michael Irving

- Jemele Hill

- Rob Parker

- Lou Holtz

- Craig James -- apparently killing 5 hookers didn't show up in the background check

Except for when actual games are on; ESPN has become mostly un-watchable.  Anyone doubt me?  I have 2 words for you "The Decision"!

I have tears in my eyes watching. I am so proud to have this young man represent our great University! The amount of adversity he has overcome should be an inspiration to us all. It also goes without saying that John Beilein is great basketball coach, but an even better man!

I just had one question constantly popping up in my head while watching it... How did his father keep his pilot's license? I just don't understand...

Other than that question, I hope Austin goes on to do great things on the basketball floor and off it b/c it seems like he's destined to.

I can't believe he got back in a plane after crash #1, and I really can't believe he still flies after crash #2. For me, if I survive 1 crash I'm pulling a John Madden and never flying again.

One thing that ran through my mind is the persistence with which we followed his story - the tragedy, the recovery and everything along the way - and vowed to ourselves that we would give him the longest ovation possible the first time he played for Michigan. That's exactly what we did too, and kudos to this fanbase and Beilein and his staff and everyone for standing behind Austin Hatch.

His is an incredible story full of sadness but also with what seems like unending support and hope and fight for the future. I think we are privileged to have him here and to see at least a segment of what is hopefully a long and successful life.

have suffered hardship and find redemption by showing others how to appreciate opportunity and their place in the world. He is a man with beautiful spirit and Michigan is lucky to have him on campus and part of its athletic program. He really ought to be a team captain going forward.
