NICE!  even if PSU has a coach by then, i'd be turned off by the fact that it is taking them forever to hire one.  doesn't show stability.

Man, you think we were babes in the woods when we went to hire a football coach from the outside for the first time in 40 years, Penn State has not hired a football coach from the outside since the 1940's.

JoePa lost the keys a long time ago to the file cabinet with the contract forms.

Well Penn State has some bigger fish to fry than worrying about a football coach right now, and if he wasn't turned off by the state of that program before than I don't want him here. I seriously don't understand how anybody could even consider Penn State for the foreseable future.

Its not beyond the realm of possibility that we get both Reeves and Wright.  We were interested in Wright long before Anthony Standifer decommitted so I assume the plan all along was to take 3 corner backs.

Good Counsel and Don Bosco are schools that I want as pipeline schools.

We have offeredalready  Dorian O'Daniel from GC and Al-Quadine Muhammad from Don Bosco.

Edit: Forgot to mention Kendall Fuller from GC who already has double digit offers from the top programs in the nation.

Yeah half of the Bosco team are D1 prospects ! But, I know some poster here and at 247 think that Wright is raw and won't be able to contriute early like he wants. Armani seems like the safe bet and can also contribute in the return game.

here is fellow mgoblog poster's analysis of him:

You hit on one of the things that I really like about Mattison -- rotating guys in.  It seems like it would be pretty unusual that the first string is still better than the alternative if the first stringers are dead tired or injured, but you see the first stringers going wire to wire all the time.

Wright is very raw but extremely athletic with a physical skill set smiliar to the great Nnamdi Asomughas.... it doesnt get better than that... with time to develop he could be really special... I seen him at a camp over the summer and I must say dude is a stud... I know first hand how Raw he is though... We worked on technique by each other and all i'll say is he needs some work but the upside is clearly there.

Him, Terry, and Wright would take us from one of the worst secondaries a year ago to possibly the best in a year or two.
