I'm actually seriously worried about our basketball program now. Beilein is not exactly pulling in talent. Hopefully these guys can be coached up and we end up having a good team next year, but this is just awful to watch.

Chatman looks more comfortable.

Irvin isn't looking down about his shooting slump

Doyle will continue to compete

My biggest concerns are that both point guards look limited.  Hopefully, they recover quickly.  Would also like Donnal to get comfortable.

With SMU up next and more than likely another "L", it's time to sit Chatman and either slide Donnal over to the 4 and start Doyle at the 5, or start Dawkins at the 4 and Doyle at the 5. And we need temper expectations of Irvin; he's a one- trick pony right now. If his shot is not set up for him, he's can't do much else. Walton and Lavert can't do it all; Lord knows, Lavert tries to every possession.

painful lumps along the way, but I trust JB and his staff.  They have a great track record of player development, it's just gonna take a little more time than we've gotten accustomed to over the last several seasons.

I can't guarantee it, but I still expect this team to be much improved 6-8 weeks from now, by early to mid-February.

Crazy how a couple weeks can make a world of difference. We all thought we would leave the Big Ten with Wisconsin

This is classic Beilein. He lets the team take some bad loses to figure stuff out and grow. He seriously does not care if we win or lose these non-conference games, as long as the team is growing. Obviously, he would prefer to win, but it is better to lose and learn now than during the B1G or tournament. We have a proven top 5 coach in bball. Let him do his thing. We have a young team this year, hopefully we can get it together and make the tourney, from there it is a beautiful combination of luck, talent and coaching.
