Are Denard and Witty announcing together?

This is just my opinion, because I've never been able to get ahold of Denard. After reading on Rivals that they were announcing seperately, and then that Rivals also thins Robinson is a Florida lock, I'm starting to get pessimistic about him. Again, I know nothing that I'm not sharing, just a hunch.

Actually, pretty much everyone will take fliers on kids who aren't exactly up to par when they have scholarships available. They don't roll over, why not take as many bodies as you can? I know the "PAT WHITE WAS A 2 STAR! ROD COACHES EM UP!" meme is dumb and overplayed, but the lost kernel of truth in it is that star rankings are irrelevant and recruiting is a crapshoot.

that these 2 slow played colleges to get Whitty a better offer and then both commit to whatever school they wanted to, separately? If so, well played boys, and looks like only RR and K-State fell for it.

if you were witty, why would you want to trick a school into giving you a scholarship? you'll either get cut or at the least not get a fair chance to play.

jblaze...you took the words out of my mouth. Whitty thinks he's D-1 caliber player, but has been sidelined with injuries. Denard may have always wanted them both to attend Florida, and since Florida wouldn't offer Whitty, Denard "helps" his best friend by selling the two as a tandem package to other schools. Why else would they have separate announcement times so far apart? It's so Whitty can sign and get the paperwork in before Denard has to announce Florida is his choice. If that were the case, Whitty would recieve a separate fax number that wouldn't quite work until Denard announced at 7. That's assuming you can pull the offer before the paperwork is faxed in.

they are announcing twice. Once quietly, with phone calls and the faxed LOIs in the morning and then at least one of them on the local news at 6 or 7. slightly optimistic based on what I've read since lunch.

According to Rivals, they will both announce and sign at 11:15 and then both be on TV tomorrow night at 7. Also, they say Robinson will decide between Michigan and Central Florida. Don't they mean Florida or did I miss something?

I'm not clear on something - it says Robinson is deciding between UCF and Michigan. It says Witty is likely blue. So is it possible Denard spurns Florida for UCF and we still end up with Witty or is it more likely that we get both? If what they are reporting is true, it seems like they both come here or they split up and Witty comes here and Robinson goes somewhere in Florida so there doesn't seem any way they go their separate ways within Florida. Or did I misunderstand what you meant?

is likely or unlikely, but you got the possibilities right. We land them both, we just land Witty or it was all a giant game of chicken to see if they could get DR and AW matching scholarships to Florida (or within the state of Florida). I have always been of the opinion that it seemed like Witty wanted to stay in Florida as much as he wanted to play college ball with DR. So if DR picks UCF I'd think its 50-50 that Witty comes anyways.

Brodie, Where did I say Whitty would create a rap and throw it on You Tube on how he played RR? My comment Denard used his status to help a friend get into a bigger program was merely that. I never implied Whitty wouldn't contribute or make a difference at Michigan. Whitty was going to be heavlly recruited before his injuries, correct? To me, that means he's confident that he has the skill set to play and excel at a top level D1 School. Maybe the coaches seem the same potential dispite the injury. Wouldn't you use whatever avenues you had to help a friend sidelined by injury? Even if that meant selling the possibility of you coming to a university if they offer your friend?

Ah, sorry man. I should edit all of my posts with this: EDIT** This, by the way is all speculative and means absolutely nothing more than a guy wasting a few minutes of lunch time to throw out a hot sports opinion.
