Anyone Going to the Team 134 Kickoff Event?

Submitted by MLaw06 on

Are any MGoBloggers attending the Team 134 Kickoff Event?  I got the invite, but since I never went to one of these before I was curious to see if anyone has any insight as to what this is going to be like?

The schedule doesn't have much details so it sounds like there is some food, introductions and a chance to watch the team practice?  It sounds interesting, but since I would have to book a flight to attend, I wanted to see if it's worth flying up for (especially since I'll be flying back for the next weekend's game as well).

Any idea why you qualified for an invite?  Is it a priority points threshold you have to hit or something along those lines?  Just wondering, because I'm a season ticket holder and am actually going to be in the area visiting friends that weekend, but hadn't heard anything about this.

are you sure it's not a Washtenaw County Sheriff's Dept sting operation? Do you owe back property taxes? Unpaid parking tickets?

something setup by <To Catch a Predator>?

They will lure you to the stadium, piping in Seven-Nation-Army to get you to run out the tunnel expecting to see the team, the team, the team...and instead, it's Chris Hansen who was alarmed at your overeager research on 18-23 year old collegiate football players.

You get that invitation. I have club seats, so we went to last years event which was pretty nice. Brady was there for the first hour or so. You could take pictures with the Sugar Bowl trophy. Brady talked a bit about the team and so did Kevin Koger. You sit at midfield in the lower bowl to watch the practice and get.a look at everyone. It was at this event last year that we all got to see the impact Devin Funchess might have. He just stood out when they ran plays.
