Another Manny Post
I was checking out Chad Ford's Top 100 prospects for the draft in the summer and just wanted to share a few Michigan related tidbits.
I don't know how updated this is since I didn't see a timestamp but it was on the front of ESPN so I would assume it's recent.
Manny was listed at 88th and categorized as 2nd Round-Undrafted
I think that shows Ford thinks Manny should come back which may be a good or bad thing depending on your thoughts on Manny.
Udoh was 18th. (Ouch)
Robin Benzing was 41st. (Double Ouch, thanks Brian for alerting us about this character.)
Sims was not ranked.
...with Manny's best interests:
Manny,
Don't go, dude. You and the NBA are not happening this year. You need to come back for your senior year to write the correct coda on your Wolverines career. Lead us back to the promised land of the NCAA tournament and rekindle the fond memories of 2009 in 2011.
Signed,
An Admittedly Selfish Alumnus Who Has Your Best Interests at Heart
Were you a former kicker for UM? Kickoff specialist?
In the 2002 game against Washington, Nienberg and Brabbs were being rotated at placekicker. Before Brabbs nailed the game winner, I think each kicker was 0-3 on FG attempts.
Nienberg transferred from... I can't remember. Ohio? Lived in West Quad with me back in '00-'01. Really nice guy, hard worker.
I've asked him before and haven't ever gotten a response. That probably means it is in fact the one and only Troy Nienberg.
Is b/c I went to high school with his cousin and he would always say how his cousin was a kicker for UM.
What this team would have been like with Udoh and Benzing?
NOOO!!!! Don't think it! Doing so will be the mental equivalent of a massive dong punching!
Heck, I'm wondering what this team would be like with a healthy Cronin and Morgan.
A healthy Cronin and Morgan would pretty much have us exactly where we are. Neither of them really jumped out as game-changers. Wasted scholarships...
4 seconds of my life were wasted reading your post. Thanks.
This team doesn't need game-changers. We've lost many, many close games. A couple more contributors (wouldn't it have been nice to throw a 7-footer at Dallas Lauderdale on defense?) and maybe those games turn into wins.
Come back next year and help us try to make the NCAA Tournament again.
I think Manny will soon realize that he has no where to go next season, his only choice is to come back. There's no way he wants to leave early to play in europe.
really made me hope Manny comes back for next year, he looked great tonight, especially around the rim.
Also, Darius Morris is gonna be a stud, he just makes plays.
