Congrats to our incoming kicker, Brendan Gibbons.

Wonder if he was chosen over Fera.

that crushing tackle he made on the return that got him on the list. This is great! have we ever had an all-american kicker recruit??

Rivas was an Army AA.

And Rivas was first team all-Big 10, Lou Groza award seminfinalist, and was 17 for 20 his senior year. What's your point?
Sorry, I get bothered when Rivas gets shat on all the time when he turned out to be a very solid kicker after a while.

He wasn't being sarcastic, he was being informative - in response to someone asking "This is great! have we ever had an all-american kicker recruit??". I.E. pointing out that we'd had one before. Re-read the lines more before you jump all over someone - even if you're going to offer the lame "sorry, but I" in the very next sentence.

is that you?

I know he's a punter, but it should be mentioned that Zoltan was an AAA. Also, he competed in the QB skills competition and beat one of the actual QB's.

Did Fera get his invite yet? Gibbons is on the East roster with Big Will, Gallon, and LaLota. There is no PK yet on the West.

I think that Heyden Epstein may have been an All American PK. He was highly regarded coming out of high school and mentioned regularly as part of our #1 recruiting class in 1998. (Henson and Fargas being the most noteworthy recruits of that class.)

Yeah, Epstein was extremely highly regarded. His leg strength was phenomenal. Unfortunately, his accuracy wasn't quite as good.
