Announce team for Regional: Good News/Bad News
We get the CBS slot, as opposed to TBS which is good for a lot of us cord cutters.
The good: Kevin Harlan is probably the best pure PxP guy doing national basketball in both the NBA and college. Dana Jacobson is, famously, an alum.
The neutral: Dan Bonner is fine
The Bad News: Reggie Miller. Who is the worst.
I was just looking at this page, and to be fair, North Carolina / Butler on Friday gets Nantz AND Grant Hill, and while I don't mind Hill so much, I hope someone comes loaded with some good Duke trolling on the broadcast crew just to get a reaction out of him.
I saw Grant Hill in front of the mic on Sunday and immediately hit "mute." Made my life easier.
Figured that Nantz/Hill/Raftery were going to Memphis because of the blue bloods in that regional. Thought we were going to get Lundquist/Spanarkel but will gladly take Harlan. I also think he seemed to be loving us a lot when we played the Spartans earlier this year.
I do love Barkley, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith at halftime. Barkley has me rolling.
I think Grant Hill is worse. Hiss comments fall into 2 categories:
Telling me just what I saw and the play-by-play guy said.
Someone is not trying hard, not trying hard, wants it more, has heart.
On the flip side, Chris Webber was surprisingly good (to me at least) on the Sunday broadcasts.
He provided some pretty good insights and details. He did not just tell me what I already saw.
Yep, he explained how you shouldn't dribble the ball into the corner because it makes it easier for the defense to trap you. I wonder how he learned that one.

that the in studio analysis guys were pissed that Michigan won on Sunday? It just seemed like they were almost mad about it.

No, I did not get that feeling whatsoever. They all seemed fine and were all cracking up when Beilein did the super soaker deal. Kept talking about how remarkable this whole turnaround is.
So, no, that thought didn't even cross my mind.
I don't care who the announcers are as long as Walton is nowhere in earshot. That guy is 100x worse than anybody else.
