And the title of "Big 10's Best QB" goes to...

....Juice Williams ?!?!

26 of 41 attempts with five TDs and a pick on the first game of the season.

The Mizzou game was seriously impressive. Chad Henne never threw for as many yards as Williams did Saturday night, 451. He's grown up...the Mizzou secondary kind of sucks, but still, he gave a performance worth of Troy Smith.

Who else in the Big 10 is even close? Maybe the Indiana QB, and whoever is under center for Northwestern these days...

...does not a quarterback make.

Missouri's defense is horrendous.

I'm not saying Boeckmann's great, but he did throw something like 21 TD's and only 2 INT's last year.  And Juice Williams lost playing time to Eddie McGee in 2007.

Let's not jump to conclusions.

Boeckman threw 25 TD passes and 14 INTs last year.  That's a lot of picks against a schedule that didn't feature many good defenses.  He also fumbled a bunch of times IIRC.

I might eat my words later, but I really don't care.....Juice Williams is a terrible passer and an okay QB. I'd wager that if Kellen Lewis was at Illinois with their system and their new talent, he would be considered a much better QB. I already think KL is a better passer than Williams, as a stronger arm, and is more accurate.

Formerlyanon- Juice ran for more yards and more attempts than Kellen Lewis and that was with him sharing time with McGee. If Lewis is a running back throwing nearly 200 more pass attempts, then Juice is most certainly a RB. KL threw for 28 TDs and only 10 INTs and that was without the help of some guy named Rashard Mendenhall to keep defenses honest. He did have James Hardy, but one good receiver cannot overcome other dificiencies on offense if you're not a good enough QB. This is compared to Juice that shot for a 13-12 TD-INT ratio and a near 3% lower completion percentage but has all the damn hype in the world.

I mean you look at Kellen Lewis and how he played in Indiana's losses...in the majority of their losses he played valiantly. His team just sucks. You look at Illinois losses and see how Juice plays and you can find one of the culprits to the loss right then and there. No TDs (rushing or passing) and has a few INTs.

This is not to say Juice sucks and has no hope to be a good QB, but I think his problem is that as much as he can do to help his team, he can do (and has done) as much to hurt it. This prevalent issue severely holds him from being the QB everyone expects him to be. I will be surprised if he's able to consistently turn in Missouri type performances.

As for B10 best QB, I'd put Curtis Painter into the equation somehow. I think he'll be at his best his senior year and he wasn't an abomination in the past or anything.

Touche, but honestly, you just cannot call a guy a RB when last season he threw a lot more pass attempts, TDs, and only one more INT than Chad Henne did ever in a single season. Lewis is a true dual threat QB. Not a great heisman-esque QB, but definitely good esp. considering he plays for fuckin Indiana. If you mean he's a RB because it's fuckin Indiana and they don't actually have one, then yes, you are most certainly correct. Really, I don't think Indiana has a solid RB starter.
