Well, for his career at OSU then, he averaged about 10 minutes per game, a 35.2% FG%, 34.0% 3FG% and was 63% from the line. In addition, he averaged about 2 rebounds and less than 1 assist, steal and block per game. I have to think that Della Valle is not getting the best advice, but his contract apparently is a multiyear deal that would total something around $300,000 per Alex Gleitman over at Bucknuts.

Some leagues in Europe aren't as competitive as NCAA, and his game might translate better.  That said, I always laughed when he was described as an X-Factor for OSU.  Dude was garbage.  When he's your X-Factor, your team is garbage.  That's like calling Max our X-Factor. He can give us quality minutes when needed every now and then.

As a farewell, I'd like to quote Amadeo "WOW! Michigan doesn't have room for me now and I didn't get to visit?! That's really fair!"  This was right after Hello: Spike.  Things work out.

Not sure why he would leave OSU. With his athlete status and that mug of his, college is his best shot to get laid

It was Spike we gave the last scholly to over him?   I thought it was Levert that we decided on over Della Valle.   And they better pray that Ross stays.  Where will their scoring come from without Smith, Ross, Craft (not that he scores but he can distribute) and Della Valle?   You telling me a team with Sam Thompson and Shannon Scott as the primary offensive weapons scares anyone?

He might as well go.  Even if he stayed at Ohio as long as Robbie Hummel was at Purdue, his future still would be sitting on the pine in Italy.

Glad we got Spike.  The NW Indiana guys put the game away for us this afternoon.

they have a very good class coming in, but none of them are PG or shooters.   They can't score from the outside this year and they won't be any better next year.  But at least with Craft gone their 3 pt percentage can only get better.

I'm guessing that this was his plan the whole time. Maybe the coaching staff found out about this and decided to stop recruiting him.
